I have a RadioShack Pro.97 handheld scanner and I pressed a button on accident and now when I go to scan it says "all channels locked out" How do you unlock the channels?? Thanks in advance for your help.

Turn the scanner on and make sure that you don't see a "key" in the display- if you do, you first have to press and hold the key LOCK button until it beeps and allows you to use the keys. press 'manual'. press and hold 'L/O' 'lockout' for 3 seconds and it will unlock all locked out channels. now press 'scan'. if you have nothing, then press 'scan' again and press each one of the number keys to turn off and to switch on the scanning banks. The NOAA weather frequencies have constant broadcasts, so your scanner "locks" onto them. The only ways to prevent this are to either delete the weather frequency or lock it out. To delete, just program the frequency "0.0" (zero point zero) into the channel. To lock it out, press the L/O key while on the weather freq.
To clear all locked out channels, press the SRCH button, select the bank you want to clear, press the FUNC button, then press the L/OUT button, then press FUNC button,then 6, press 1 to clear all...hope this was helpful...
