Hello Sir, Iam having philips 3005 dvp dvd player,last week i bought 29 inches samsung ultraslim flat TV and when i connected my dvd to the samsung tv.I got the following problems 1.First the video color was different and no audio is observed 2.second ,i got a noise in the drive and i was not able to open my disk drive in the player and getting the same sound,still iam not able to open the disk drive in my philips player. please provide me the solution Thanks and Regards P.Jaikumar Aravaanan

How can i unlock the region code on the philips dvp-3800? i bought the player here in prc, and it will not play the dvd's i brought from home in the US. thx.

Try this:

Press home, arrow down to 'settings', press OK, arrow down to 'system'
Press 5, 0, 1, 8, 0, OK

My Philips DVD DVP 3005 won't play any sound. The picture is absolutely fine though. What can I do?

Find out the protection transistors between buffer ic 4558 and sound output rc socket and remove them and also check both + / - 12V on ic 4558

How to connect dvp 3356 t0 samsung 29 inch tv with crt tube.

Please check the connection. If you are connecting the 3 RCA cables to DVD component input/output, you need another pair of RCA cables to connect to audio out (FL&FR rear of DVD player) and Audio in (L&R) in your TV set. Else connect 3 RCA cable in 1-Video out & 2 Audio out of DVD player and 1-Video in & 2 Audio-in of TV.

Philips DVP-3020K not eject my CD

hello my friend! my dvd player did the same problem. and i solved this just with a screw driver:) if your dvd player s guaranty finished!! switch off the player and open the screws which r 2 on sides and 3 behind the dvd. open the cover and take off the two group of cables on the chipset which are on the mechanical part side! (mechanical side: dvd driver) than plug the cables again to their socket. its done! close all and go on ! i hope this will solve your problem as mine...

My dvd model is philips dvp 3005 and it is in standby mode when i start my player standby led glows and when i press stand by button on the player or power on from remote control the screen shows no disc...

Software upgradation

Its called firmware, and you would need it on a disc, you would have to get it from Philips or maybe their website.

Don't download firmware from anyone else but Philips.

Wrong Region message

DVD player must be made region free by unlocking it.. after that you can play all the discs you want.. for ubnlocking it you can try google//

I would take it back and exchange it ,,if you purchased it new,,But if you bought it used,,and cant take it back,,I would take the top off ,,You can acces the dvd to retrieve disk and maybe see what the prob is,,thanks and goodluck
