The only way to reset the image unit drum is installing a new one. The new image unit has a fuse which once blown it resets the counter on the machine. Cannot be done mate. I would be a very rich man if i could this to xerox's printers. The readings are held on 3 seperate boards, changing 1 of them instantly writes the serial and meter to the new one from the remaining 2. Changing all 3 results in the copier becoming a toaster!!

if the Drum LED is still lit after replacing the drum unit, the Drum counter may not be reset.
Reset the Drum counter as follows:

1. Open the front cover.
2. Locate the control panel button under the LED lights on the left side.
3. Press the control panel button until all lights are lit, then release it.
   The Drum counter is now reset.
