Hello,

It sounds like you have a reed switch malfunction. The reed switch is located next to the front drive roller at the drive pully under the motor hood. It is the little black wire with the pick up on the end. It need to be about an 1/8th of an inch away from the magnet that is mounted in the pully. If it looks lined up and is not twisted, check the other end. It is plugged into the controller on the other side. If all looks fine, you just might nee to get another one.

Hope this helps

We just bought a proform 615 treadmill used. The treadmill runs fine until we get on it. Then it bogs down and the belt quits after a couple of revolutions. Can anyone help me out fixing the problem.

Most likely worn belt and deck, demise of almost every treadmill or the source of a blown lower control board.

Lube is usually every 150 mi or 6 months. Consumers rarely apply lube until its too late.

Putting lube on it does not resolve the damage to the deck. Look under the belt and see if the bottom of the belt is white. When a machine is run out/low on lube the bottom of the belt turns grey/black and the slippery board the lube is supposed help the belt run on gets rough.

Parts aren’t bad, couple hundred bucks. Shipping is brutal because the deck is a 40lbs 2’ x 4’ sheet of laminated wood. You would need to dismantle the machine down to the frame to install the deck or even the belt.

Could be way simpler, but start with the condition under the belt and the sliding deck.

What should I do for a belt error?

Dear Sir:

Your problem is lack of maintenance specifically lack of lubricating between deck vs belt deck. see your owner manual.

The treadmill had been designe for to protect the electronic system( component) by that reason the equipmen shut down, and display error system.
Run the software calibration for easy diagnose and troubleshooting

I have an E-4 sign coming up on the treadmill. I still dont have a clue how to calibrate it or anything. i bought it over the internet and there was no instruction manual that came with it. i really need...

Dear Sir:
This is guide for software calibration in Horizon. Please see under your Hood for motor the instruction for step in calibration.
Turn the treadmill power to "On." Place the safety key in its place on the treadmill console.

  • 2 Simultaneously press and hold the incline "+" and speed "-" buttons for approximately five seconds: The console will beep and display the software version in either the "Time" window or the "Calories/Elevation" window.
  • 3 Press "Start" and allow the running belt to begin moving. The belt should start at 0.5 mph. If this speed is not the speed your treadmill starts at, adjust the speed cube screw located under the control board. Turn the screw to slowly to the right to increase the speed or slowly to the left to decrease the speed.
  • 4 Verify this speed is correct by counting the running belt revolutions per minute. At 0.5 mph, the running belt should make four revolutions in a minute for the Alpine and Advance 500 models and four-and-a-half revolutions for all other models.
  • 5 Press and hold the "Stop" button for three seconds to exit the engineering menu.
  • sincerely. God bless you.

I bought a Reebok V8.90 with iFit cards. My problem is that the workout will stop multiple times during the workout. Then I have to start over. It seems that each time I start over I can get a little...

    Dear Sir:

I hope your are very well in union with your family.

    I will help you inmediatel.

    Please do the following:

If you can walk on your treadmill but it shuts down during a workout, it is normally caused by a friction problem with the belt and deck.
Here are the most common symptoms and solutions:
    1)
Symptom: The treadmill operates for a given period of time and the circuit breaker on the treadmill trips causing you to have to reset the breaker, or let it cool off then reset the breaker.

The amount of time required to shut down will progressively get shorter.

Solution: The walking belt is worn. The incline test is the best test for it if you don't have a way to take a
DC amp draw. Put the treadmill at full incline and walk normally. If it takes it longer to shut off or does not
shut off at all, you need to replace the walking belt. Be sure to inspect the deck for wear too. If you want to
go for a cheap fix try lubricating the walking belt. The best fix is to replace the
walking belt and then regularly maintain it and keep the treadmill clean.
    2)
Symptom: The treadmill will show power but after a given period of time, the treadmill will simply shut
down. Once you let it cool off, you can restart it back up but it shuts down faster and the time required
before it shuts down gets progressively shorter.
Solution: Your treadmill is most likely equipped with a heat sensor which shuts down the motor and/or
electronics to prevent them from burning up. If this is the case, replace the walking belt. Be sure to inspect
the deck for wear too. If you want to go for a cheap fix try lubricating the walking
belt. The best fix is to replace the walking belt and then regularly maintain it and keep the treadmill clean.
    3)
Symptom: The treadmill shuts down in an intermittent pattern...there is no rhyme or reason to when it will
shut down. I get an error code or nothing shows up on the panel. I have to either unplug the treadmill or
reset it to restart the treadmill.
Solution: If you get an error code, contact us with the code and make and model and we will try to help
you figure out what is going on. Typically we either find a loose wire, an intermittent short, a bad power
board, or a bad control panel in service calls that we do locally. Unplug your treadmill and then check all
your wiring to make sure nothing is pinched, crimped or loose. Remove and replace each connector in
    case corrosion is causing.

Thank you in advance, sincerely. God bless you.

The belt has shifted to the left, how do I move it back over? And it sounds louder than normal.

Check the rear endcaps for damage. If they are OK, find the allen key that came with the treadmill (you used it to assemble the machine) and go to the back of the machine. If the belt is rubbing, find the left adjustment bolt and turn the screw 1/2 turn clockwise. Now, by hand move the belt a couple revolutions. If it still rubs, repeat the procedure till the belt stops rubbing. Now run the treadmill about 3MPH and fine adjust the belt by turning the screw 1/4 turn until straight.
If the belt is not rubbing, run the machine (3MPH) and adjust the left bolt clockwise 1/8 - 1/4 turn watching closely till the belt is centered.

My Weslo Cadence 840 treadmill mat keeps trying to run off to the left

Check that the plastic end cap has not broken first. If it is OK, adjustment should be simple.
Start the machine running. With the allen key provided (3/16) simply tighten (clockwise) the left hand rear roller adjustment screw about 1/4 turn and observe the belt. If it is way off, you might need to turn 1/2. Let the belt do a couple revolutions before adjusting more. A very small adjustment id usually needed to straighten the belt. If it is way off, there may be a more serious problem..
