Had any work done recently, if so if u ve had occasion to have water shut off...when water is turned back on calcium or sediment gets loose and clogs flush valve (called a ballcock) or check the water level in the tank.

When I flush the water goes down but does not take the paper with it... Help!!! Called sani plus company and they don't know!!!

If the paper isn't flushing, that means it's got too much drag to be carried down with the water. You've got a few options here:

1) Use lower ply paper, as it will be easier to flush
2) Use less paper, or flush after each wipe
3) Improve your toilet to a high rate-of-flow toilet

Do upflush toilets require the use of thin toilet paper?

You may consider using a toilet paper approved for RV's/ Recreational Vehicles as these toilet papers break down easier and have less of a chance to clog the drain.

Kohler toilet not flushing completely

You have a partial clog, as if someone tried to flush paper towels or something that shouldn't have gone in the drain.

Try plunging, first, then a toilet snake, or you may have to get a pro to pull the toilet off the floor and run a larger snake if it's further down...

Five year old Toto toilet has developed a very slow flush in the past few weeks. Plumber has found no clog in line and water from hose flows freely with no back up. We have two other similar Toto toilets...

This can happen if there is a hole (physical damage) inside the trap. Instead of the weight of the water during a flush causing it to drain right down suddenly and completely, it draws in air and loses the momentum. There could be a hole or a crack, which may be hard to find without removing the unit.

TOILET WONT FLUSH AWAY PROPERLY

I believe what your plumber was referring to are the flushing orifices. Yes they have changed through the years. Unless you have a pressure assisted toilet, the orifices are what makes it flush, by breaking the trap seal and creating a vacuum. Now that being said you can check to see if this is the problem by filling up a bucket with aprox. 2 gallons of water and dumping it straight into the bowl. It should flush right down with out hesitation. If it does then your orifices are not working properly. If this is a new stool, it is possible it is just a bad mold and should be replaced. I hope this helps. Your new toilet should flush for you.

I've just fitted a Nabis breeze and am having flushing problems.

Well many toilets flush very high before flushing, they appear to almost overflow, but if that doesn't seem like your problem, I would recommend adjusting the float on the Fluid-master fill valve so that there is less water in the tank when it flushes.
