Problems sending or receiving SMS may be caused by no or incorrect SMS settings. To set up your phone to use SMS, you need a message centre number, which is provided by your network operator. This is often set up automatically when inserting a new SIM card to a phone. Whiteout the message centre number, you are not able to send or receive SMS.
To edit the service centre number:
- Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity >Message settings.
- Select Text message.
- Highlight Service centre and select Edit.
- Highlight a service centre number and selectOptions > Edit > Continue.
- Enter the service centre number and selectSave > Yes.
- Highlight the service centre number and selectSelect to use the defined service centre number.
To add a service centre number provided by your network operator:
- Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity >Message settings.
- Select Text message.
- Highlight Service centre and select Edit.
- Select Add to add a new service centre number.
- Enter the service centre number and selectSave.
- Highlight the service centre number and selectSelect to use the defined service centre number.
This should help you.
