Recover HP Pavillion DV2000 + DV6000 + DV9000

Some HP Pavillion DV series have the issue of not starting up( screen is Black), lights are on, then it restarts over and over again.

The solution is:

Disassemble(open up) the Laptop with right tools.
When you get to remove the fan on top of the processor, you will see the processor and next to the processor an intergrated graphics card.

Remove the processor.
Remove the Ram.

What you do now is Get a hair blow dryer, set it to maximum hot air and blow 1 cm distance from graphics card for about 5 minutes.

let it cool for 20 minutes.
Put back all components.

start the POWER. wait and now your pc will show something like magic on screen..

my hp Pavillion laptop will not turn on - the lights on keyboard flicker and then turn off and then turn on again. Screen stays black.
This is sadly common with the DV series of notebooks, google the fault and you will find a load of people who have had similar issues.

Cause: Motherboard fault, possibly overheating, which causes the graphics chip to unsolder from the board and you get no video. I suspect a replacement mobo will be needed.

One think you COULD try is to test the AC adaptor to ensure it is putting out voltage, if the adaptor light is flashing, its signifies that the current is being "spat back", due to it not completing the circuit, this again could be down to motherboard charging circuit or faulty adaptor or looseness of DC port

Black screen when the hp dv7 stratup
Contact HP. There are known issues with the DV line of laptops. They die......seriously. Ask them if the problem qualifies your laptop for a "one time warranty enhancement". They might just fix it free as there are known problems with the DV series.

if nothing(even hp logo ) is not coming on the display then please try this.
1.remove the battery and then press the power button for 30 sec.Again refix it and check.
2.If windows sound is there then this mught be the issue with display.

3.If there is no windows sound might be the issue with RAM so please get it checked.

Restarting the laptop
