I've had a similar problem. My solution was to install a third party app, which can twick the settings of the audio. You can find lots of apps like this one: How to fix all Audio Speaker Microphone problems in Android Sound About .

SOURCE: downloading photos from G1 phone to laptop

At the top of your phone display you will see a USB icon. Click on the top of the screen and mount the memory card. Your computer will recognize your memory card as a disk drive.

Click on my computer and select the letter for the memory card. Look for the photo folder.

T-Mobile is doing an over the air upgrade to fix some syncing problems this week.

Contact 611 from your cell phone and select G1 support for more information.

SOURCE: My G1 can't power on :<

sounds like the red buttons have stopped working. you can attempt to reset the phone, if that fails either the button will need to be replaced, or you can contact T-mobile for a replacement given it is still under warrenty.

to reset the phone, try this:

with it OFF press the HOUSE and the POWER buttons until the phone powers up with a triangle and a yellow '!'inside. slide open the screen and press 'ALT' and 'W' at the same time. the phone should boot up as normal. if that fails, call t-mobile 1800-937-8997 for a replacement.

SOURCE: speaker on g1 phone stopped working

open your phone and clean the contacts between the speaker and the board.... that is the common fault for cellphone speakers.

SOURCE: HTC G1 dead, can't power on, factory reset/soft reset not working

Well try to get your hands on either a second G1 phone or a multimeter to rule out a battery issue. If you take a charged battery from another G1 and it still doesn't turn on you will have a logic board issue. With a multimeter you can measure the battery directly, if the phones doesn't turn on if the voltage is over 3.7V, you'll have a logic board issue as well. Within one year T-Mobile should give you a replacement. If you can't get a replacement under warranty there is both an T-Mobile G1 Repair Guide and a third party T-Mobile G1 Repair Service, If you try a self-repair make sure you feel comfortable with opening devices that are not meant to be user serviceable.

Huwawei phone--I can't be heard on the other end of call.

You may have the privacy mute turned on, the one which allows you to say rude and insulting asides to someone next to you and the other party on your phone can't hear that.

I cannot hear anything on MY end when I make a call or receive a call and the volume is completely up. It is not on mute and the person on the other end of the call can hear

Hello,

The problem with your phone is that the earpiece of your phone is faulty that is why you cannot hear anything when someone calls you or when you call someone.

All you need to do is to change the earpiece of your phone in other for people to hear you when you make calls or when you receive calls.

The earpiece of your phone is bad that is why you cannot hear anything when you make calls, change the earpiece of your phone as advice and you will see that you will hear when people call you.

Take care.

Callers can't hear me

To clear this on my A747, I did this:
Used my home phone to call the broken phone.
Answered with my A747.
Selected Options on the top left button.
Selected Mute/Unmute.
Bingo!!!!!
Note: There is also a mute function with the top right button when a call is established, but it was not working correctly when I had this problem. I did as described above and now its OK, too.

Phone speaker not working on G1 phone

This would be a mic not a spear my friend you need to have this replaced or ship the phone back to the carrier for a replacment I do know most carriers have this insurence and you must have it if you have a g1 at least I would. This sounds like another Tmobile phone gone bad and it would be in your best interest to have it replaced. You als may want to check and see if you did not mute the mic accidently.
