That maybe the case..you could put a shielded barrier(copper coated poly) between them.sounds like it's a little too sensitive

Dish network remote only works up close. Dish network remote 20.0IR only works for the reciever at about 1 inch from the reciever. Works fine and from any distance for the tv, stereo reciever, and blu ray...

Hey Brandon Kinsley,

It does sound like there is an interference issue with the remote control. Make sure there are no sources of heat or light near the receiver, and that it has a clear line of sight. Other possibilities for interference could be equipment or some LCD TV's have been known to cause interference.

If you continue experiencing any difficulties let me know here and I would be happy to try other steps with you, or see about getting the right remote out so you can make the TV1 a UHF signal to bypass that interference.

Is this a new remote or the existing one? I have provided instructions on how to program the remote to your TV and to readdress the remote to your receiver. Select the model of the receiver you have, click on the link and the just follow the directions. The bottom portion of the page has links for TV codes to program the remote to your TV. If this doesn't work, you may need a new remote. I hope this helps.

Dish network remote to run RCA DVD player

I had rca remote that did not recieve ir signals but rf signals instead. Check online with rca or in owners manual for what type of signal factory remote sends. The dvd player I had was 5 dvd and that was the case. Dish might have an option like direct tv where you can program rf signals as well. Call dish network support or look online

My dish dvr remote only works on satellite from zero inches away from reciever. The remote works on the tv from 20 feet away. Have tried wiggling the antenna, etc. Any other ideas?

Check your batteries.. Trust me on this it happens lol..Also do you have anything on top of the tv like a VCR or DVD player? That can cause that also. If your able too control the reciver with the remote than it could be a number of these things. Just check ubstructions anything that can be blocking it. Some newer model tv's have a light censor that causes the remo too stop working as well. If its a newer model like an HD tv this could be your issue as well

DISH remote will not work for the first 10 minutes when the TV is turned on; so, I have to watch the channel I was watching before I turned the TV off. It seems to work fine after the initial 10 minutes.

Is the TV new? Is it a HD TV? If it is Either a 9Samsung LN(R/S)## Series , Sony Bravia/XBR# Series ,Sharp Aquos (New Models) , or Phillips ##PFL Series than the issue your haveing is what we call IR Remote Response Lost. its a light that cuts on and off that makes any IR remo not work some period of time. You have too call the TV manufactuer or use the manual for assistance. If you need details on how too fix it let me know!!!

I have new Polaroid TV/DVD combo & need code for my dish remote

Dish remotes generally will not program to combo units. There are a few exceptions but if you have already performed a power scan and have not had sucess you have one of the units that will not work. Dish is introducing a new receiver called a 222k which has a learning remote to prevent these types of issues. The 222k is a HD dussl tuner NON dvr receiver. It also has an expansion port that will allow a external hard drive to be connected to it which will allow the receiver to behave as a DVR unit but with added benefits an internal DVR model lacks.
Hope this answered your question and thanks for using FIx Ya. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
