Belkin Basic Wireless Router Logo
Anonymous Posted on Nov 18, 2010

There is an orange light on the front of the router. What does it mean when this light is on all the time? It wasn't on before. It doesn't seem to interfere with anything, but it bothers me since I don't know if someone else is picking up the signal from my router and getting into my computer.

There should be two lights on the front of the router. The top one is your router status light... If this light is blinking orange, then your router cannot detect your modem. The other one is the WPS (Wifi Protected Setup) button light. If this light is solid orange, then that means the button was pushed, but no connetion was created. Either way, there is no indication of an intuder on your network. So, as long as you have setup your wireless security and encryption, you can rest easy.

Takes a long time to get to temperature

If it's a gas oven and has an electric element starter (glows orange to ignite the gas), the element can be taking a long time to heat up, which means the oven doesn't light for a while and so seems to lake a long time warming up. If you turn it on and then look at the area where the flame should be (broiler) and the flame takes a long time this could be the problem. This happened to me and replacing the element fixed it. Now the flames light within 30 second or so.

Netgear wndr3300 blinking orange light

It depends. Have you checked the Netgear support site for FAQ and the manual. In some routers, orange lights indicate wired 100Mbps connections while green indicates 1000Mbps. In other cases, blinking lights indicated that the router is 'bricked'.

VIZIO VS470 WON'T TURN ON

do you mean the power indicator at the front panel doesn't light.ok this kind of trouble is in power supply section since the stand by doesn't work. the first place to be check is the fuse if blown. if blown with darkened color that was an indication that has other component part that get shorted. at this time you will need a proper trouble shooting using the a device like a digital or analog tester. if you don't have enough idea on how to do the job and necessary tools, just send it to the trusted service shop to fix the problem.thanks for using the fixya.

Wpn824NA Not working

Hello.
If the test light on the router stays on after 20 seconds, even after turning off the router and back on it stays lit, it means the router has a problem.
What you can try to do is reset the router to factory settings:1. With the router powered on, hold down the reset button on the back of the router for 20 seconds until the test light on the fron panel turns on.2. Release the reset button and wait for the router to restart and become stable.
If the test light does not stay on anymore, the router should be ok, you need to set it up again though.
Hope this helps. Glad to be of service.

I have a Linksys WRT110. We have set up the router, and made a wireless network but it seems the router can't connect the computers. The problem seems to be that the light above the reserved button is...

it means its lost its connection, theres a little reset button near the on off switch normally use a paper clip or safety pin and press for 10 secs and it should start flashing and connect again

Blinking orange light

if you got an orange light to the router, It means that there's no Internet connection or not working from the router. I might advice you to check the Internet connection from your ISP, then check the configuration of your router or you might needing to reconfigure the router.
