I am using an old (but good) Printmaster Platinum 11 and would like to update. A few years ago I got a detective Gold 18 which I cannot use. I have Windows XP Home and am being told that I must update my Printmaster 11 or it will not work on the next upgrade to Windows 7. BUT the newest versions of Printmaster says it will not open older Printmasters! I have years of work in my Printmaster 11 - I love the product - in my opinion it is the very best on the market regardless of price....and I've been an artist/illustrator/designer for the better part of 50 years! Help! What can I upgrade to that is compatible and will take the old files! Can I keep transfering until I get to 2011? I cannot find this info on any Broderbund site.

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run.
