We bought a used Gemstar Guide+ tv and were told that the cable plug did not work. After buying chords to bypass this and working with the Direct TV rep, it seems that the video is out on the TV. I hate to throw it away...is it fixable? Can I buy the part and replace it myself?

you want to instead pass the audio from the blueray
either direct to the sa-hr690 via one of its aux inputs
or via the TV

via the TV makes sense

so find an audio out from the tv
some only have headphones
some a pair of phono plugs

so youll prob need phono to phono cables
and then your good too go

1) Reset the code go www. fitness.manualsonline. com or www. remotecodelist.com and downlod for free

2) Try again and proof.

3) If the problem persist you must go to the repair shop TV for fix it

yes. you need to reset guide plus+. with factory tv remote, press.... menu, 7, 1, go-back, tv........ then press menu, 7, 1 , go-back, who-input....... then it will ask you to set up tv with your zip-code.

try to fix your remote control, and follow the instruction manual, maybe a broken PCB into your remote control. or at the vedeo section change the transistor for display,base on schematic diagram for that tv

PBS in my area says that my cable provider, Time Warner is no longer using the analog signal that contains TV Guide On Screen info. They did this to prepare for digital in Feb. Time Warner says they are waiting for Gemstar/Macrovision to provide a method for the On Screen feature to work. My source at PBS reckons there are over 25,000 cable card TV's that may lose this On Screen Guide. Apparently there is no legal requirement for TV Guide or your cable provider to send the guide.
Users may want to try and contact TV-Guide/Gemstar/Macrovision directly at their toll free number
1-800-386-7380. This may not be a solution but it may be a consolation for users wanting to know why they have lost their TV Guide On -Screen.

I have sound from dvd player but no sound when I have just tv on

Simply enter 00000 for the zip code and complete the set up process; if you're in Canada, select the USA as your country and use the zip. However, you MUST complete the set up, including allowing the TV to search for appropriate code. In the long scheme of things, location and codes don't really matter because you won't see the GUIDE again.

Go to Best Buy and buy the DirectTV Universal Remote Control Model RC64 ($20). It will control both the Satellite Receiver and the Olevia TV (Everything on the Olevia except the A-B-C-D Guide buttons). The Remote Control User Guide lists the control codes, four for the Olevia. The codes are:

Satellite Receiver: 00392

Olevia 235-T12: 11610 (last of the four codes listed for Olevia)
