2 gb card not working in my sliver phone

u can unlock your memory card by the following steps.
Use 2 software phone for unlock the memory card. Use your frinds mobil.
Use a software set(eg nokia 5800, 5233, 5230. 6120c etc)
Insrt the memory card into the software phone
Select setting > data mgr > memory > format memory card...
Its working... Try it..
Note: formating memory card will delet all datas in the memory card.

A couple of things to look for. some newer SD cards are SD-HC and not compatable with older equipment. The second thing that could be causing the problem is the card hasn't been formated for the phone/mp3 player/touchpad. Your device should have a way to format the card in the settings and options section. After formating with the device the card should work fine.

How to format SanDisk memory card 2 GB, I need password, but I don't know whats password. Card is in my nokia phone. I can't format it on computer to. Is there any solution for this?

As far as I can see from the manual the e100 series player only supports up to 2 GB memory SD cards, see page 8 (=7) of the manual:

Formatting the SD card of 2 GB should be in FAT format, see:

If the Sandisk 1 gb has 233 mb after formatting, then the card is usually bad and must be replaced.

Try doing a complete formatting again.

If that does not work, delete partition and try doing formatting with a tool like the one below.
If the software below does not fix the problem, then replace the card.

Make sure its formated FAT 32 or above such as NTFS this will shore up this memory issue problem with your memory stick.

i believe they are only capable of 2 gig, get a brand new 2 gig for around $7 online, and the device should recognize it, i have the brand name kingston, my problem now is, i cant sync music, if u figure that out, let me know

what type of memory card are you using?

on page 24 of the manual it states the following:-

phone can use a memory card with a capacity of up to 2 GB (greater than 1 GB storage guaranteed only for SanDisk
microSD cards)

If you are not using a SanDisk card and it is greater than 1G this may be the problem.

have you tried to format the card frm your PC and then add the files?

You have a option in the memory card settings to format. It will format, but still after loading some data into memory card the mobile starts freezing again, even im suffering with the same problem for a long time
