I have a DVD stuck in the slot in the side. Also shows a lock icon when the Eject button is pressed. Unscrewed the face plate on the DVD slot and 2 white clips-type things are across the dvd path. I can manuever them back but the disc still won't release. I'm not sure the model # above is mine but it looks the same.

SOURCE: DVD PLAYER SAYS "INCORRECT DISC" AFTER "READING DISC"

LOCAL TV REPAIR SAYS THAT, WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE DVD PLAYER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND WILL COST ABOUT $125 TO DO SO, WHICH IS NOT AN OPTION AS WE ONLY PAID $100 FOR THE WHOLE THING.

Is there a way to get the disc out without dismantling the entire TV? Disc is stuck, lock icon shows when eject button is pressed. Can TV be reset to factory specs?

Try the following. kindly update result here in comments

Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons.

If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.
NOTE: This step may not apply to all models as DISC1 is not available on all DVD players.

If this does not work and if the DVD player has DISPLAY and PREV buttons, press and hold the DISPLAY+PREV buttons for two seconds to unlock the drawer.

How do I eject the Dvd

Press the eject button on the top right-hand of the keyboard. Be patient if the disc does not pop out immediately. Try pressing the button a few times or waiting a few seconds and then press the button again. If it doesn't eject, tilt the computer with the disc drive facing down and shake it gently as you press eject.[1]
2
Drag the disc icon into the trash. If the eject button isn't working, locate the disc icon on your computer's Desktop and drag it to the trash can. The trash can is located on the far right end of the Application Dock on the bottom of the computer screen.

3
Press and hold "Command" while simultaneously pressing "E."

4
Find the disc in the Finder. Open the Finder, located on the bottom left of the applications dock. Look on the left-hand side of the pop-up window under "Devices" for the name of the disc in your drive. Locate the eject button directly to the right of the disc name and click on it.
5
Eject the disc through an application if it is not in the Finder. In iTunes or DVD Player, click on the "Controls" drop-down menu located on the top toolbar and click "Eject Disc." You can also open iTunes and click on "Playlists" so that the left side bar pops up. Look for the CD icon with the appropriate name. Click the eject button directly to the left of the CD name.

A DVD disc is stuck in the slot of my Westinghouse RMC-02. Is there a manual way to get it out? The buttons on the remote AND the side of the TV does not get it out.

Hello Berg,

Normally, the DVD players have a little hole on the face plate which allows you to insert a tip of a paper clip (about an inch long should be OK), to unlock the "gate". The door should pop up and release the disk.

I hope I have helped you.

Good luck!

Dvd player will not eject or play dvd. It just keeps spinning and says "reading." I've tried unplugging for 2 minutes, pushing close/open and stop at the same time(hold for at least 3 seconds)....

Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet and turn the player ON. Attempt to open the disc tray. Depending on the model number of your DVD player, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons. If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the DISC1 + STOP + EJECT buttons.6 Jan 2013

Disc won't eject, stays in "RECOVER" mode

look on the face of the machine, near the dvd slot. what you are looking for is a tiny hole, the size of a pencil lead. some players, not all, have this manual release. If you are fortunate enough to have one of these little holes straighten out a small paper clip and use it as a wire to insert in the hole and release your dvd.

Dvd player wont play

I found this on the PROSCAN website under customer support manuals. The website is www.oncorpus.com.I hope this information helps you with your problem. IMPORTANT THE LABEL SIDE OF THE DVD MUST FACE THE BACK SIDE OF THE TELEVISION 1. Press the ‘INPUT’ button to select ‘DVD’ mode, if no disc is inserted yet, the display shows ‘No Disc’.
2.Insert a DVD with the printed side facing towards the rear of the TV/DVD Player (see below)
3.The TV will first display ‘Loading’, then change to ‘DVD-video’. Most DVDs will show some preliminary
information then stop at a main menu screen.
4. Press PLAY/PAUSE to play it directly. Or press the DVD-MENU button to access the disc menu during
playback.
5.Use the direction button on the remote control to select the desired option. Press ENTER to select the
option or press the ► button. Playback will now commence.
6.After playback, press the EJECT button on remote control or EJECT button on TV/DVD to remove the
disc.
Note: No function‘’ will sometimes appear on the screen after a button is pressed. This indicates that the
function is not supported at the current time.
