Catalitic converter mailfunction. Possible causes: - catalitic conv. mailfunction - o2 sensor mailfunction (ECU generates p430 from converter pre and post sensors data) - misfire; bad quality petrol, bad spark plugs, bad ignition coils (misfire means cat conv able to burn out without quick repair) - low fuel pressure: petrol filter needs replace, fuel pump needs replace - hole in exhaust system (sensors are ok, but measure wrong flow)

What do codes P0411, P1000

P1000 code means the codes were cleared or the battery was disconnected
Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Reset Description All OBDII scan tools support the powertrain control module (PCM) reset.
The PCM Reset allows the scan tool to command the PCM to clear all emission-related diagnostic information. When resetting the PCM, a DTC P1000 will be stored in the PCM until all the OBD II system monitors or components have been tested to satisfy a drive cycle, without any other faults occurring. For more information about a drive cycle, refer to Drive Cycles .
The following events occur when a PCM reset is performed:
  • Clears the number of Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
  • Clears the DTCs.
  • Clears the freeze frame data.
  • Clears diagnostic monitoring test results.
  • Resets status of the OBD II system monitors.
  • Sets DTC P1000.

P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected

neither of these could cause a no start or no crank problem . Is the battery good an do you have good connections on the battery ? Do the headlamps show bright when on ?

My car won't start and is showing a p1000 code . What does this mean?

P1000 is a manufacturer specific fault code:

Ford P1000: OBDII Monitor Testing Not Complete.
Jaguar P1000: Engine control module (ECM) - internal error.
Kia P1000: System diagnosis incomplete.
Land Rover P1000: Engine control module (ECM) memory erased - no codes stored.
Mazda P1000: OBDII Drive Cycle Malfunction.

So depending on the manufacturer of your car would depend on the meaning of a P1000 code!

Radio code

OBD system tests
Possible fault codes:
P1000 OBD system tests Operation not
completed
Setting of the fault code P1000 has no
influence on the system <Engine
management>, smooth running or performance
as long as it is automatically erased
whilst driving.
The fault code P1000 indicates noncompletion
of system tests.
* Misfire detection
* Evaporative emission control system
* Exhaust-gas recirculation
* Lambda sensor
* Exhaust gas catalytic converter
The fault code P1000 cannot be erased. It
is cancelled automatically once the
vehicle has completed certain driving
cycles.

2004 x-type 3.0 v6 152,000 miles showed codes P0171, P0174, P2096, P2098, P0101, P0171 pd, P1000.

check for vacuum leaks or a faulty mass air flow sensor. all the codes have to do with engine too lean(too much air).

I AM GETTING A PO430 AND 403PD

P430 is "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)" and P403 without the PD is "Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Volume Control Valve Circuit".
Don't know what the PD means. One place to find codes is "http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/" as well as explanations and further troubleshooting.

Fault code P1000 [18,2,10,0],Ford Fiesta 2005

P1000 means that you or someone has disconnected the battery,and the car has not been driven far / long enough for the computer to relearn its stratagies.
Engine light could be the fault of the speed sensor, or wiring to the sensor.

CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE P1000 CODE MEANS FOR A 1999 FORD F-150 PICK UP TRUCK

P1000 means a drive cycle has not completed, it will only clear itself after driving the vehicle through certain driving conditions. If you try to clear the code, it will reappear until you repeat the drive cycle. I am not too familiar with what AE will show, but if you can access Mode 6 data or the OBD Drive Cycle(These are two options from the IDS at Ford), It may help to show what tests have either failed or not completed. Heres what must be done to clear the P1000:

Note: The IAT PID must be between 10-38°C (50-100° F) during the OBD II drive cycle to enter into all the OBD II monitors. The FLI PID must be between 15% and 85% at all times.

Drive in stop-and-go traffic with at lease 4 idle periods (30 seconds each) while observing the status of the OBD II monitor on the scan tool. If the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), heated oxygen sensor (HO2S), evaporative emission (EVAP), secondary air (AIR) (if applicable) or catalyst efficiency monitor have not completed, drive on the highway at a constant speed over 64 km/hr (40 mph) not to exceed 104 km/hr (65 mph) for up to 15 minutes. Heavy accelerations, sudden decelerations and wide open throttles are not recommended. If the scan tool sends out a three pulse beep at any time, the OBD II drive cycle has completed.

If there is only one certain component that hasn't completed its test, there are individual driving conditions to help those tests pass or fail if something is wrong.

04 jaguar x type sport premium diesel air bag light on. on start up the air bag light flashes up , then after approx 30 seconds it stays on , could this be a faulty sensor ??? or some thing more sinister?...

When the air bag light flashes it is actually doing what is called a "flash code" which can be read by your dealer.The P1000 code is only a standard check code in the Engine control module,The DTC (diagnostic trouble code) will be in the restraints system and the flash codes need to read too...It will flash when igntion is on...will flash then stop a second then flash again giving a 2 digit flash code,then diagnosing can begin
