Cmos checksum bad Chassis Intruded Fatal Error System Halted!

Hi,
To remove CMOS Checksum error, you have to remove the coin cell battery from the motherboard and install a fresh one. A coin-cell battery (CR2032) usually powers the real-time clock and CMOS memory. The battery is 3 Volts, 3/4" in diameter and has an estimated life of three years. When the computer is plugged in, the standby current from the power supply extends the life of the battery.
Just open the desktop, locate the CMOS (Coincell) and remove using screw driver. Replace the battery with CR2032 or an equivalent one.The following brands are used interchangeably for this item: Energizer (ECR2032), Duracell, Panasonic, Eveready, and 3M etc, which can be purchased from any local electronics store.
For Chasis Intrusion msg, go to the BIOS (when prompted, press the Function Key at the system startup) and locate the option of chasis intrusion option and disable it, save settings. Commonly, to enter the BIOS you have to press F2, F10 or DEL Key, depending up the make/ model of the PC you have.

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

Chassis intruder, fatal error system halt on asus p5pe-vm.how can i fix it

Hello, you can download a manual here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5PEVM/#download

Please select your windows version.
Select manual and click on global for download.
Unzip the file before installation.

And remove the cable on the mainboard for the contact on the chassis.
When that is done enter the bios and set the setting for the chassis intruder to off
Read about that in the manual.
The chassis intruder is used by admins to see if the case have been opened
when the case is opened the bios will block the system from booting until the setting in the bios
is set back to normal.

The problem of my computer is when i open my computer its not boot to windows it shows chassis intruded fatal error-system halted! what can i do to solve that problem? my board is asus p5sd2-vm.

chasis intrusion is an option in the bios, when U start the pc, press dell to go into the bios, walk trhough the settings ( I think it will be in a section advanced or security) where U can switch off intrusion.

Did U open the case recently?

Chassis intruded... fatal error.. system halt..

If your case is not setup for chassis intrusion, the motherboard has dropped a jumper.
The location is by the last PCI slot between the CD audio connector and the USB bus plug. (it is right next to the CLRTC jumpers)

Good luck

Chassis Intruded, Fatal Error...System Halted

you need to go into the bios of your pc.....usually pressing the delete key when you see the first logo screen after booting up....look for a section that relates to errors and what the bios is supposed to do when it encounters an error.
i.e if you see a line in the bios that says "halt on all errors" disable it and when you next boot up the bios will not stall.

Error Boot "Chasis Intruded fatal Error System Halted"

Well it seems like that the cmos battery is down. You need to do the following

Change the CMOS battery,
Enter into bios and change the date and time properly,
Save and exit bios.

Now you should be able start your computer in windows.

WHEN I START MY COMPUTER IT ALWAYS SHOWS "CHASIS INTRUTED FATAL EROR SYSTEM HALTED"

there is a hardware switch connected to the bios that checks if the chassis has been opened or if it it opened yet.
you must deactivate it in the bios, or perhaps directly on the main board. (but thats risky)
You perhaps also need to close correctly the chassis, in order to access the bios where you will certainly find an option that allows you to deactivate the chassis protection check or whatever else with meaning of a lock or check state about the computer case
