Try selecting safe mode.
If it starts, u will get a pop up asking whether u want to start system restore.
Start system restore and restore the computer to a previous date when it was working properly.
If that does not work, u will have to do a complete re-installation of the Operating System.

What Can I Do to start Windows Successfully?

If its doing this then it looks like you have a faulty file on your windows set up, or a faulty hard disk so windows cannot read the files. boot up with your windows install disk there should be an option to repar your windows installation try this also you can use command line, to run a chkdsk on the drive.

I had to reboot my Eee PC; however, now a message comes up statting the following: "We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might...

If you added any exta hardware means kindly remove it and boot the computer
Then you try boot by selecting the option of Boot using last known good configuration.
If the boot is successful then you can boot later booting without any problem.

If boot is not successful and this problem is happened after installing any software or driver software means boot in safe mode by pressing f8 key and uninstall it

I brought my hp about 2 years ago it worked for about a month now im trying to fix it but when it comes on it goes to the screen where it asksstart windows normally how do i reboot

You can choose to start windows normally and it should bring you to regular desktop. If not to reboot you actually have to shut it off by holding down power button until it shuts off. If still issue try to boot in to safe mode by pressing F8key on boot up and keep on pressing it till advanced start up comes up. Once in safe mode try to run virus scan to see is there any viruses. Also in same menu there is safe mode with networking if you choose this one you can do updates since it will allow you to go online even that you are in safe mode. This might resolve the issue.Hope this helps.

This generally is the indication that the hard drive has failed and needs replaced. You can try reloading the system, but 99% of the time when I see this the hard drive is shot.

Shuts off at boot up screen?

Start the computer in safe mode (tap F8 immediately after turning it on until you see the option of how to boot)

If it successfully boots into windows, you have an issue with either driver conflicts and/or viruses. If it still restarts itself, you most likely have a hardware issue (bad hard drive, motherboard, etc)

Windows does not start successfully

Hello,
Boot to safe mode. Then log in as administrator. Open My Computer, rightclick on C drive. Click properties. Select Tools and then click Error Checking. Select (Automatically fix file system errors) and then click start.

It will ask that you restart the computer. Upon restart it will run a check disk and if there are any file system error that may be affecting your boot up problem, it will fix them. If that was the problem, it should start up after this process. If not then let me know so we can try something else.

Thanks,
Lolita
