Hey Lil Man23,

There are two things that you'll need in order to connect your Xbox 360 to the internet wirelessly: a wireless router and a wireless network adaptor. While both of these may often be obtained through an internet service provider (ISP), you can generally purchase both hardware devices from a local retail store.

In order to connect to the internet, your Xbox 360 will need to be set up in what is referred to as "infrastructure mode." This essentially means that your Xbox 360 will be set to connect to a single access point (the wireless router) in order to access the internet. If you're not quite sure how to do this, you should be able to find step-by-step instructions on how to do so in your owner's manual, or by using Microsoft's Xbox 360 Connectivity Wizard:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/connectionmethods/webconnectivitywizard.htm

If you're still not quite sure how to proceed, I would strongly suggest contacting your ISP for further assistance. Many ISP's are able to provide home networking services for their subscribers, but remember that there may be a charge for any in-home services provided by your ISP or any third-party company.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

How do I connect my xbox 360 to the wireless internet?

For the Xbox 360 Slim, on the dashboard console:

1) Go to Settings
2) Select "System" to take you to the system settings menu
3) Highlight Network Settings and select it
4) Select Wireless Network to setup your wireless

For older Xbox 360 consoles:

1) Your will need an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter. Check online or your local stores to see if there is one available.
2) Once you have the adapter, simply hook it up to your xbox and follow the instructions at the top of this solution to setup your wireless through the xbox dashboard.

How to wirelessly hook up xbox live GOLD

wirelessly hooking up xbox live is an easy, simple process; tech savy or not. first, you will need a wireless networking adapter, which range from 80 to 100$ USD. bestbuy or walmart .com are examples of retailers of such product.

hook up the the adpater into the back of the xbox 360.

if you do not have a wireless router that is currently serving no purpose, you will need.
bestbuy and walmart are once again ideal retailers, and i would suggest a Linksys brand router, hook that up and configure to your router.

no more purchases, except for a xbox membership of course.

turn on the xbox with the Wireless networking adapter plugged in and tap the center "Big X" button, scroll right twice and find "network setting" from there, configure network, and then scan for networks...

if you were successful in hooking up the router, you will find your router as an option to connect to, you may or may not have a specified sercurity.
if you do, you will be required to enter the password you chose.

you should now be connected to xbox live...

want a friend? add gamertag: "xInsanitea" and we can play sometime... thanks for reading!

If its not a black xbox 360 slim than it doesnt have wirless so you either need a wireless adapter or ethernet cord that will hook up to the modem from the xbox.

I just subscribed to wireless internet, what does

IF you have a wireless modem/router and yous wish to hook up your xbox 360 into it, you need to purchase a wireless networking adapter for the Xbox 360 because the Xbox does not come with a built in wireless card. Once you have that accessory you can configure the wireless network in your console.

How do I connect Xbox 360 wirless network up

There are two ways to set up wireless connection to your Xbox 360, and get Xbox LIVE. Now remember, for you to do anything with the wireless connection, you need to buy Xbox LIVE. The company has a 3 month free trail for Xbox LIVE that you can sign up for. Then, when you have that bought, your true experience can begin. If you are fortunate enough that you console location is near your internet router, then you can hook up your 360's internet cord to the back of your router. then you will have to go to your internet configuration and test your connection, and you will have live. The other way is by going to Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Gamestop, or any other game seller and buy something that is called the Xbox 360 wireless connection router. I'm not sure if that is the exact name, but it looks like a pretty small internet router. Then, you hook that up to the front or back of your 360, into one of the many USB ports, and you install it. You may need help and may have to call Xbox 360 customer service. But, those are the two ways to get live.
Please rate.

Thankyou, Good Luck, Noob815

Xbox 360 to Windows XP?? Problems

When you hooked up the XBOX 360 it most likely, by default, made another network name but used teh same wireless hook up. Meaning when it is unplugged you need to:

1. Right click on the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen that has your wireless connections (Usually a picture of one or two computers)

2. Click on CONNECT TO A NETWORK

3. Find your network and connect.

That should work.

Link Your Console to Another Console

Console-to-Console Connection: Wireless Some Xbox games offer console-to-console, or system-link, play, in which two or more players (depending on the game) can wirelessly network their consoles for multiplayer use. Console-to-console wireless networks are also known as ad-hoc networks. In ad-hoc networks, a wireless adapter on one device connects directly to a wireless adapter on another device. An Internet connection isn't shared with this type of network, and the console-to-console connection is typically temporary. For console-to-console play, you need: Two Xbox 360 consoles. Two Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapters. An Xbox 360 game that supports system link play. To wirelessly connect your console to another console: Attach an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to the back of each console as described in Use Your Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter. On each console, go to the System area to enter your network settings. (They will be the same for each console.) If all settings are correct, exit the System area. The consoles should now be wirelessly connected to each other.
