Hobart lx30 E3 error

It seem that the machine isn't filling enough to hit the probes required. It might be that it's draining at the same time or something...

Error Code E3 relates to a problem with the fill. Specifically that the water level has not been recognized at the middle water sensor. This can be caused by a problem with the drain system as you describe, or by low water pressure to the machine (should be 15-25psi flow), or bad wire connection to this middle sensor.
Check for proper water pressure first (should be a gauge on the machine) during the fill. Then check / repair drain as needed. These will probably eliminate the problem

SOURCE: dishmachine won't fill

Your problem is as straightforward as your observation, the unit is not getting enough water flow.

First, if your DW water is hooked up with a braided stainless hose, there is usually a screen in the end of it, (check both ends). It gets clogged with debris and chokes off the water. Make sure the line is not kinked.

If that doesn't work, you are likely having trouble with your fill valve. It is under the front kick panel. It has a large castle like upper cap. It is common for debris in the water to make this valve malfunction. It isn't too difficult to open up without removing. Just watch how it is assembled. If you pay attention, it's easy. If you have a booster, the hoses are very brittle with age.

And otherwise, the fill valve may be bad. REMEMBER, verify your supply water flow where it connects to the machine first. Don't assume. You could have a pressure regulator or a line strainer that is part of your supply line. They do fail. But that's a plumber's fix, not a technician.

Hobart AM15-1 dishwasher. Good morning, why does 'DP' appear on the display and immediately after that it starts washing and does not show the temperature on the display?

Question edited for a lot more clarity. All question need FULL 'make model (what it is)'.
Question moved from laundry Washing Machines to Hobart Dishwasher category.

'DP' or 'PD'?

PD is not an error code. It shows that when it draining water out shortly after power-up and when shutting down. If it seems to be showing "PD" longer than usual, it means the dishwasher's control circuitry believes there is still water in the tank, due to a faulty water level probe, most like the one under the lift-out screen. It has a plastic body with a metal probe coming out the center.

There is also a dual probe at the rear of the machine, but I believe the dishwasher uses the front probe to determine when to stop draining the machine during "PD" - most likely meaning "Power Drain" or "Power Draining".

If you are not seeing any E- codes (E1, E2, E3, etc.) then these water level probes are likely just fine and the "PD" is appearing normally, as it should during draining conditions.

Manual just for fun.

LX30H THROWS A CODE EO after running awhile. I hit the high reset button under the flaps on the front for both the boost and reg elements . It will work for a couple cycles and then does the same thing....

Machine won't fill or won't fill high enough. site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures. (LX18, LX30 display shows working.
"E0," "E2," "E3," or "E4". LX40 display shows "DR1 PRBLM," "FILL1 PRBLM," FILL2 PRBLM," or "FILL3 PRBLM". Machine will not run.)

1. Low water pressure - check for clogged hose strainer; check that

2. Make sure probes are clean

3. No water pressure - main water supply valves may not be

4. Drain valve open - turn machine OFF to drain machine, then
ON. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve
obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and
press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note
water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and
check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the
OFF-ON procedure. If problem persists, call your local Hobart
Service Office.

5. Delime machine.

Leaks water from bottom of door. Error code E7 ?

I found this and it also may have to do with the door seals...how old is the unit...if door seals get old and stiff..(not soft and pliable) they sometimes leak...after usage the heat and moisture may cause them to swell and or become soft thereby sealing better...but this is what I found in the user manual.

Machine displays "E7" on LX30 model or "CLEAN PROBE" on LX40 model.
1. Clean water sensors inside tank.
It suggests contacting Hobart if this fails but I also found this problem is associated with fill issues...as in an E4 error...this what you do in that case....

Machine won't fill or won't fill high enough(LX18, LX30 display shows "E0," "E2," "E3," or "E4")

1.Low water pressure — check for clogged hose strainer; check that site water pressure meets minimum flow pressures.
2.Make sure probes are clean.
3.No water pressure — main water supply valves may not be working.
4.Drain valve open - turn machine off to drain machine, then on. Repeat twice (this assists in clearing any drain valve obstructions). Wait for machine to reach READY mode and press WASH. Slowly open door several seconds later and note water level. Close door; 30 seconds later, open door slowly and check that water level is the same as it was. If not, repeat the
OFF-ON procedure.
5. Delime machine.

Good Luck and I hope this helps...let me know if it doesn't and i am sure I can get to the bottom of it...thanks for rating my effort...the Fang.
