I have lost my hp4355 officejet instalation cd

This printer is plug and play. The operating system is what the printer is installed into, not Word. Go to "Add Printer" in control panel and then follow the on screen instructions from there to install the printer. You can also download (if the above method doesn't pan out) the software free of charge at the HP customer support site free of charge, just type HP4355 Software in a google search window will also work.

I have a HP Officejet 4315xi and I cannot install my printer with the installtion disk that I have . I always get a message that says" an error has been detected:" then it uninstalls everything it had install up to that point and that is it. I have used this installation several times. Could the disk be corrupted or is my USB cord to the computer bad ???

Select your operating system from the list.

On the next page you can click on the needed software link to download it, or for some you can order a CD.

When you get the download window, you should select "Save" and then save it to a place you know how to find. Either your desktop or a Temp folder would be good.

Remember that when installing this printer you have to disconnect the usb cable before installing the software. Do not connect the cable until the software installation prompts you.
