Mintek factory solution for the forever loading disc problem.

With the power turned off, open the DVD Player, and then open the top where you load the DVD into the player. Locate the laser lens and notice that the laser is attached to a transport assembly that moves the laser diagonally outward in a slot. 1. Slide this assembly outward to the end of its track. 2. Slide the assembly back inward to the closest inward position. 3. Repeat the process of sliding the assembly outward and then back inward.4. Put in a music CD and let it play all the way through. This helps to calibrate the laser head assembly movement. When the music CD is finished playing. 5. Put in a DVD, and you should have a working unit again This is a factory solution from Mintek that was given to a customer who ask for help with the forever loading disc problems. This solution may work on other models of portable DVD players. Most portable DVD players use this type of transport mechanism. Try this solution it might work for you.

My playstation has stop loading, but the disc continue spin

Hello, this problem is common. PS1 is a great machine, but the laser disc lens after serving us for years at one point it stops reading discs. Usually this problem doesn't happen suddenly, but there is a time period in between where sometimes it loads games and sometimes not. If you've noticed this symptom, then you may try to bring few more life to the PS. - Switch off your PS and open the round cover, locate where the laser lens is. Wet a cotton bud with one or two drops of a common glass cleaner. Clean very gently the lens for like ten seconds with circular movements, wait one minute so it'll get dry. Now put your game in and see if it has worked. You may try more than one disc if the first doesn't load, because some games are easier to load. - If this won't work, you may try to put your PS standing in vertical. Put it on one of its side, maybe better standing on a wall or on the side of the tv. It may sound weird, but sometimes it has worked for me. If one side wont work, just try also the other one. - If none of the above will work, i may suggest you to get a new one, on ebay you can find still many PS for few bucks.
Hope it'll help, good luck! Peter

Every disc i insert into mschine takes ages to load and then says disc error, even movies I have previously watched on this machine

That happens when the lens are dirty or defective.

You can try using a cleaner DVD to clean the lens, that may not work.

Being the unit only 6 months old this is probably a fault concerning the lens, rather than dirt and dust on the lens.

I think the best thing to do is contacting Pioneer at the number listed on the owner manual, since there is one year factory warranty cover on all Pioneer products.

Nav system

Installing the DVD Map Disc Your dealer/retailer may have installed the map DVD. If the map DVD was not installed, do the following to load it:
Read the following steps completely.
  1. Turn the ignition on. The vehicle must be in P (Park) to perform this operation.
  2. Press (power) to turn the navigation system on.
  3. Press the NAV hard key.
  4. Touch the Insert Map Disc screen button. The screen opens to access the map DVD slot.
  5. Load the map DVD partway into the slot. The system pulls it in. The screen cannot be closed until a double beep is heard.
Notice: Pressing directly on the navigation screen may cause damage. Repairs would not be covered by the vehicle's warranty. Do not press directly on the navigation screen.
  6. To close the screen, slightly push up on the two outer corners until the screen is in position. Then push the screen in by pushing on the four outer corners until a click is heard.
  7. Set the search area. See "Setting the Search Area" earlier in this section.
Ejecting the DVD Map Disc The navigation portion of the system cannot be used if the DVD map disc is not loaded.
  1. Press the MENU key to enter the Menu options, then press the MENU key repeatedly until Nav is selected or touch the Nav screen button.
  2. Touch the Map Database Information screen button.
  3. Touch the Eject Map Disc screen button. The screen tilts, exposing the map DVD slot.
