Dear Sirs, I'm using Sony Ericsson K800i cell phone. As soon as I put the phone into charger it displays:"Charging Error. Stop Charging!" I thought it may be battery problem and bought new batteries. But still this message comes out as soon as I start charging the phone. Farkhad

First Option:
mostly nokia chargers doesn't make problems...
just try the following..
connect ur mobile with a system (usb cable)...
found out whether it is charging or not...
if the same prblm appears then there is a prblm in ur cell phone or power jack(socket)...
if it charged with usb cable buy a new charger
Please change Phone Bettery and check the charging
IF Charging Problem not Solved So

Second Option:
Your Phone charging IC Fault So Please change charging IC
And charging Problem will Solved Quickly

As if your using sony ericsson K800i some mobile phones as this problem as myself also faced the same problem sony ericsson mobile shows this error if you charge your mobile using connector or unsupported charges.You visit your nearest service center of sony ericsson and ask then to give branded sony ercsson charger for your mobile.After taking that charger you will not face this problem any more..your mobile is just perfect as new.Your connector or charger is having some problem with it. Try with another charger. If it still shows the error, try cleaning the gold contacts where the charger connects to the phone and connect the charger again.
If the error still shows, try replacing the battery.
Finally, if none of the above work, you'll have to contact Sony Ericsson to fix your phone.

There are so many problem that can cause this.

It may be the charger or the battery. so please try get a friend charger and battery and test it with your phone.

If the problem continue, you will go to sony service centre...they will re installed the software and everything will be fine.Its just a software problem....they will fix it in just 15 mins.

hallo everybody i have this problem now.my k800i saying same thing.what i must do .it is not very dangerous.mayb it begun after the last firmware update.help il love my k800i and i dont want to lose it

charger or battery faulty, replace 1 by 1 both if necessary, i would start with battery

soney ericssion k800i keypad 1,3,6 not working and no.8 press display shows shutdown and putting charger shows indicator but not charging the battery sir please help me plz

i was charged my mobile k850i then one massage came my mobile seirious error,stop charging your mobile, stop using & plese contact sony ericsson call centre.

if charge down in 3 hours mean battery problem. if the mobile show "not charging" message mean charger problem.

if charger is problem it happen like this.
change your charger!
