I messed up with the video settings, and now I cannot get a signal. I guess that I am still accessing the menu, but cannot see where to change the settings because there is no picture. Maybe a reset to factory settings can help, but don't know how to do it. Thanks I have a Supersonic sc-22d

Sorry Joe, but that solution is far from what I am looking for. I messed with the video settings on the dvd, and need to reset it to factory settings. Can you help with that???

Hello Alfredo. turn on the tv and the DVD player. Use the tv remote and push the input key. When you do that you will see a list of choices. One of them is DVD. Click on it. That said, if that doesn't give you a picture from the dvd, go down through the list one item at a time and you will find it. Joe

Hi Alfredo.

I am afraid that the only reset available is a software update. Unfortunately Supersonic did not provide any software for this model. Service documentation is also not available.

In some of the Supersonic receiver units you could press the two channel buttons and disconnect the power cord from back side and connect it again while still holding the button. This will not work on a DVD unit (there are also no channel buttons). The reset of this unit is done using a factory upgrade disk, which is not available.

The best way to find out if there is an alternative solution to the problem is contacting Supersonic with this online form, or calling them at the number listed on page. Click Here.

How to turn off closed captioning and keep it OFF

What's your source for the video? For video from a set-top box (Blu-ray. cable box, etc), you have to disable captioning at the source. The TV's CC control only work for OTA and unscrambled cable channels when the incoming signal goes to the RF (coaxial) ANT/Cable input. If this is your source, press the Menu button. Use the left/right arrow buttons navigate to the Preferences menu. Open this sub-menu (down arrow) and highlight the Base CC mode. Use the left/right arrows to change the current mode to Off. Press Enter and then press Exit to save and exit the menu.

The set-top box may not have an option to control the closed captions from the remote but accessed through the On-Screen Menu. On some satellite receivers that provide a signal to a primary and secondary TV. to enable or disable the captions on the second TV at the primary TV's set top box. Then both TVs will show the captions. On my IPTV box, I need to use a password from the service provider to access the Settings menu. The control for the Closed Captions are in the Hardware > Audio Settings menu.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the specifics about your devices/source. I can try to find the directions for disabling the captions for your source.

1080p from ps3 through rx v563 not working

It is likely then that your receiver does not support the progressive scan signal.
However, it is not a requirement to run your video signal through your receiver and doing so most of the time creates problems in instances where the video signal processing that it is performing is the same as what your TV would be doing. This causes problems like the one you are having. It is the equivalent of attempting to stir a pot of soup with identical spoons but they aren't synchronized so they conflict and make a mess. It is only in those instances where a receiver has video signal processing capabilities that your TV does not, that these common connections found on them are useful, i.e.; video upscaling. But most modern flat panel TV's already do that be default automatically and disabling it often requires service menu access.
The best possible video will be achieved with your equipment by connecting your PS3 directly to your TV. If you need additional inputs for the TV, the use of a switch box is best.

EasyCap - ''no input signal or signal is unclear'' Please Help!!!

In the ULead VideoStudio Application. Go to "Capture" tabbed panel. Select "Options" then "Video and Audio Capture Property Settings...". A window should pop up.

In the "Source" tabbed panel. Change the "Input Source" drop down menu to either "Video Composite" or "Video S-Video" depending on whether you are using the yellow or S-Video picture lead.
Change the "TV System" combo-box to PAL for colour and NTSC for black and white. On my computer S-Video option is showing black and white when using my Sky HD box, don't know why this is yet.
Try the above and you should get a picture. You can also change the frame rate and other compression techniques etc.
If it still doesn't work try changing your digital/sky/vcr/xbox picture settings to PAL for colour or others for picture preference.

Hope this helps.

Goodluck

Digital Signal on my Conia TV has gone. Cant access menu for DTV

I would guess that you are using either cable or satellite for reception. If that is the case, the signal is already a "digital" one. The digital reception you are attempting to receive is the over-air broadcast signal that was implemented recently. This change-over only effected those using external antenna connections. Cable and satelite systems have not changed.

Hope this helps,
Dan
