This is not a problem of your PC or Operating System. The earphone you are using is damaged, one of them is damaged. its time to buy a new earphone or try for a repair, but best option is to go for a new earphone. Enjoy !!! Thank you for using Fixya !!!

How to fix coby cv320 headphones

If you hear sounds from only one earphone then most likely there is a broken wire to the earphone that is not producing a sound.
It is difficult to determine exactly where the wire is broken and repair. I suggest you get a new earphone.

I can only hear a caller when using the speaker phone otherwise it is like my phone is on mute although they can hear me. Any possible solutions appreciated, not ready to replace just yet.

Hello there,

My dear friend, the problem is simply that the earphone of the bad/ damaged that is why you cannot hear anything on the phone. As long as your caller can hear you but you cannot hear them, then it is confirmed, because, the speaker is on a different side of where the earphone of the phone is.

The solution is just for you to have the earphone of the phone replaced.

But before replacing the earphone of the phone, you can use a bluetooth hands-free temporarily or an external earpiece that you can connect to the phone and be using on the phone temporarily before replacing the earphone of the phone.

Using a bluetooth hands-free or external earpiece is quite cheap and is of easy access.

Hope this was helpful to you.

Whenever i plug my earphones into my mp3 player I cannot hear my music through the earphones. any idea what the issue could be?

The wire inside the earphones Tore. If these earphones came with the Player then they are probably not very strong earphones. Usually the name brand ones are more durable. I believe it is time for you to buy some new earphones.

I cant hear anything without earphones

If you have left the earphone plugged in to the laptop for a long time, this may have bent the contacts in the socket, and stopped the speakers from working.

Hard to hear - maybe dust in speaker? How to clear

As you mentioned dust may be one problem. To rectify this go to your nearest Nokia Care center & service the phone.
The problem may also be due to the low earphone volume. Please check your earphone volume to rectify this.
There is also a possibility of minor damage in the earphone unit due to which your not able to hear properly. You have to replace the earphone unit in this case.
