your firewall is blocking you, make sure you have ports 25 and 110 open. go to "Canyouseeme.org" and type in your port number and hit enter. If there is an error message, then that port is blocked. ZoneAlarm is a firewall, McAfee has a firewall, so does windows and your router too. Have to check all the spots if you get error message at canyouseeme.org

This is an error when some crucial Firewall services are not running. Make sure that the following services are running and are set to start automatically:

• Windows Firewall (MpsSvc)
• CNG Key Isolation (KeyIso)
• Base Filtering Engine (BFE)
• Firewall Client Agent (FwcAgent)

Just save the file, unzip it and run the batch file by double-clicking. It will start the services and set them to autostart.

This usually happens due to missing or corrupt SharedAccess reg key, which represents the Windows Firewall Service.
Resolution

Download sharedaccess.reg (for Windows XP SP2 only) and save to Desktop. Then double-click the file to merge the contents to the registry. The Services entry will be created. Restart Windows (mandatory step, otherwise the following NETSH command will display an error message).

After restarting Windows, run the following from Command Prompt (cmd.exe)

NETSH FIREWALL RESET

Launch firewall applet from Control Panel, and then configure your Windows Firewall settings.
