Have a 55 inch samsung lcd tv and it keeps turning off, if i wait 20 minutes it will come back on but only for a few minutes, help !

Samsung plasma just started doing the same thing, but turns itself on & off only seconds apart, so I can't even get a picture. Another site gave this advice.
Press D.menu
select SETUP icon
select SYSTEM
select SOFTWARE UPGRADE
select STANDBY MODE UPGRADE
select OFF
