SOURCE: error code e4 on kenwood kdw12st3a dishwasher too much inlet wate

HI there,
I have had the same problem as most of you. I seem to have fixed it by
1. Bail out all the water from the inside
2. Remove the filter and 2 x mesh pieces.
3. Continue to bail out the water from the filter well.
4. You will probably find pieces of food or fat/debris in the bottom of the well. Remove these.
5. Tilt back the dishwasher at 45 degrees for 30 mins or so to drain and dry the flood sensor.
6. Boil a kettle and pour it down the well. Immediately put the dish washer on a eco wash (no tablets or anything) with half load (ie half water) and this will ease the water pump.
7. Let the dishwasher run its cycle.
8. Clean the filter again and the filter well.

It sounds quite long winded but with a £250 item you need to take care of it. Make sure you rinse most plates before loading in the future.

Hope this helps!!!
Good Luck!!!

As far as I know, E3 on a Kenwood is related to the temperature sensor, when you open it, are the dishes warm?

Testimonial: "thanks for that did not think of the temp and yes dishes sometimes come out cold "

E1 indicated long filling time. Perhaps the inlet filter has clogged. Check the inlet pipe and tap(faucet in usa).

Kenwood KDW12ST3A dishwasher keeps bleeping and showing E4

Many owners manual list common error codes. I would check there first. If that doesn't work try repairclinic.com and access trouble shooting DIY help by model number for model specific information. Good luck.

E3 Error

the E3 error is a result of water temperature not getting to a nominal value within a particular time. This could be caused by several factors like heater faulty, wash pump not working well, wash arms not circulating water as required. Need model number to help you further pin point if possible.

Refer this site for 60 inch dishwasher and this site for 45 inch ones.

My Kenwood KDW243A built in dishwasher is desplaying what I assume is an error code, E3. What does this mean? The washer is not washing properly.

E3 means the base is full of water. A quick fix is to tilt the machine back for 10 mins or so but you need to find the cause of the leak and repair it
