PLEASE CHECK IN DEVICE MAMAGER IF WAN CARD IS DETECTED OR NOT IF IT IS NOT UPDATE THE LATEST WAN DRIVERS FROM SUPPORT.DELL.COM IF IF STILL NOT ABLE TO DETECT GO TO SUPPORT SITE SEARCH FOR MANUALS OF THE PRODUCT RESEAT THE WAN CARD AND TRY IT AGAIN , IF STILL NOT WORKING WAN CARD HAS GONE BAD CHANGE THE WAN CARD ,
IF WAN CARD IS DETECTED IN DEVICE MANAGER JUST UPDATE THE LATEST DRIVERS AND TRY IT AGAIN AFTER RESTARTING THE COMPUTER ,
check and update the firmware version . ->open the router page and check the firmware version and do a firmware upgrade.click wan set up under advanced menu to upgarde firmware. or ->go to my.netgear.com and at the left select your product and find the latest firmware and update it. Well , first of all, do you have microsoft Works 8 installed in the computer system?
IF yes, then does it ask you to enter a CD that came with the product before giving the error during the updates?
Please throw some more light on your issue here...
Why are you connecting the WAN,, (the internet modem cable), to the standard ports? It should have a WAN port, for the cable from the modem, and a LAN for the cables to the computer?
On the other hand, if it is working, I would leave well enough alone, :D
