sounds like a bad timer. if it sticks every time replace they are expensive

If it takes several loads to dry on timed dry then the vent from the dryer to the outside needs cleaning, replacement or is smashed behind the dryer.

check the blower wheel, sounds to me like it is loose on the blower motor, common on these dryers. One sure sign would be a warped filter and a rusted top. The blower aint putting out enough and the dryer is over heating .

I would suspect the timer is on it's way out the door. Do you have any areas the timer has dead spots? Check the exhaust for any plugging also.Is this only on a first time start up or is it after this dryer has been running? If after running it could be a high temp sensor, that by the time you are playing around with it, the temp has changed.

Check the exhaust duct. It's best to have a short run and no obstructions. It's also possible that a heating element could have been damaged in the move.

This is caused by the dryer vent being blocked and not allowing the moist air to be removed from the dryer. To confirm this. Dry a load of close in a timed dry setting.
