DBXR453ET3WW Electric Dryer Won't shut off unless on timed cycle.

Dryer keeps running if set to more dry.( dial does not move) Takes hours to dry clothes. If timer set to 80 min, dryer does cycle through and shut off, but takes two 80 minute cycles to dry clothes. Everything has been cleaned out, and had someone come out, changed timer, does the same thing. HELP!!!

My dryer runs but will not heat properly and when placed on auto cycle and regular temperature it will not shut off and dial doesn't move and drying takes forever

If it takes several loads to dry on timed dry then the vent from the dryer to the outside needs cleaning, replacement or is smashed behind the dryer.

Dryer takes a long time to dry clothes

your timer is the problem if its not moving
which can be expensive
60-80.00 dollars Dryers are cheap enough to buy a good used one

Maytag Performa Electric Dryer Won't Start

check the blower wheel, sounds to me like it is loose on the blower motor, common on these dryers. One sure sign would be a warped filter and a rusted top. The blower aint putting out enough and the dryer is over heating .

Whirlpool Ultimate Care II Quiet Dry I, LEQ9508PWO

I would suspect the timer is on it's way out the door. Do you have any areas the timer has dead spots? Check the exhaust for any plugging also.Is this only on a first time start up or is it after this dryer has been running? If after running it could be a high temp sensor, that by the time you are playing around with it, the temp has changed.

My ge wont dry clothes it takes 2 hours

Check the exhaust duct. It's best to have a short run and no obstructions. It's also possible that a heating element could have been damaged in the move.

UN-ending Auto dry cycle

This is caused by the dryer vent being blocked and not allowing the moist air to be removed from the dryer. To confirm this. Dry a load of close in a timed dry setting. Set the time on a specific time and then start the dryer. Wait for about 5 min. See if the timer has moved. If it has then the problem is not the timer. It is the exhaust vent being plugged up somewhere. Moisture how the auto dry setting works. The dryer sences moisture and runs longer to dry your clothes. With the dryer exhaust vent blocked, wet moist air is comming back into the dryer and fooling the sensor into believing the close are not dry and runs for a very long time. It is not uncommon for this problem to cause a dryer to never shut off. Your dryer exhaust vent is plugged up with lint somewhere.
