Hi,

Always an issue with camera lenses because sometimes the slightest knock can cause a jam.

Sometimes just slapping the camera hard in your hand can help the lens free up as can blowing an air duster down the side of the lens with the camera off. The lens has some small gears etc inside and sadly one of them may be damaged etc so might need professional repair.

'"The lens of my cannon

This is basically the infamous Canon "E18" error, which has been around for quite a while.
I would type out my own suggestions but since it's such a common error I'll just direct you to a nice long list of solutions already compiled elsewhere: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

When ever i was taking pictures with my camera i droped it and the lens started to close and it said "lens obstructed" and now i can't take pictures.

Your lens might have been damaged, or the mounting was deformed. The best thing to do is to send your camera to the nearest authorized repair service center. Much better if you still have your receipt and claim the warranty.

My Olmpus fe-360 wont turn on the lens won't retract and it beeps when I try to turn it on

The lens is jammed, which means a gear is stripped or damaged, or jammed in the lens assembly, and the electronic "brain" is turning it off, since it's not in the right position (retracted). This can be caused by the camera getting bumped while the lens was out, dust, dirt, or sand can get in the lens through the front of the camera and jam it, or the batteries could be weak. After you make sure your batteries are good, and it still isn't working, go to this web page and try their suggestions. They report about 1/2 of the cameras with a lens problem can be fixed trying their suggestions. If that doesn't work, don't have it serviced- you can buy a better new camera than what you would pay a service shop.

The page says "lens error" messages, but it also applies to your problem.

My camera will come on but the lense want come on and then it goes off sfter a few secounds

Without knowing the specific model, I'm going to suggest a few things here...There is a possibility that the lens has dirt in the mechanism causing a jammed condition--have you been to the beach with it recently?Any type of impact--front or side, can jam the precision movement. Most likely, the lens is jammed and when the camera senses this(using tiny contacts internally), it automatically shuts down to prevent damage. Send the camera to the *manufacturer* service facility--not a store. The reason being the store will usually add half the repair cost to the quote *you* see--NOT the actual quote from the repair facility.---Hope I helped you!---Rick

p.s. Is the camera under warranty? Impact or dirt is *not* covered

Broken Canon camera

Take it to a camera repair shop to get a quote (the camera should be able to be sent to a repairer through any camera retailer).

When you have the quote - decide whether it is more economical to repair or replace.

Good luck.
