I have the blueparrott B250XT. I have tried pairing it to my iPhone then to my back up phone which is a LG Neon. Both times I had the same problem. I can hear the person on the other end but they cannot hear me. Am I missing something? I'm due to take a major road trip and bought this headset because many said it was great.

Some headsets have a built in code not all are 0000 check your documentaion for both the phone and headset

I had a problem with this also, try this.

Turn off both devices then turn on your phone.
make sure your bluetooth option is "ON" on your phone
turn on the blueant z9i
press and hold both volume buttons, while doing that, press the ANT button.
Your blueant should be flashing fast right now and your iphone should be able to find it.
complete the pairing by selecting the blueant headset on your iphone and enter the code "0000"
