Download the latest iTunes to your computer and reset the iPhone. Then re-sync it.

Reset

To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.

If iPhone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset iPhone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

More resets:

Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

MY IPHONE DIED AND NOW WONT TURN BACK ON

First check to make sure your charger is working, plug it up to the computer and see if the battery charging display comes up.

Second I would check to make sure the battery is actually charging.

Third try a cold boot, hold the power and home keys down while it boots it could just simply be locked up.

I brought a second hand 3 g iphone offline. When it came it was unlocked, i put it on itunes and it said that the sim was not supported, so i restored it. Now I have nothing on the phone at all ,just to...

Hi,

Follow these steps to try and get your phone running - although I cant guarantee it is unlocked, you'll have to take it up with whom you bought the phone off but if they unlocked "jail broke" it themselves and not via their network which they where locked to then it is most likely the phones software is altered with and restoring it will make no difference....

Power up your computer & itunes & make sure you have updated your itunes then power down your iphone and follow the steps below!
  1. Hold down the home button and continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button *** if this doesn't appear then release button and hold down again for around 6secs and then still holding the button plug into the computer***

    ht1808_02.jpg
  2. The above message will appear in iTunes
  3. Continue with the restore option and when you get the screen to setup the iphone select restore as new iphone
Like i said before, if who you bought the phone from unlocked it themselves then its most likely the software is affected within the phone

My iphone display nothing on screene when i start it shows only image of apple

If this will not boot at all try plugging it to your computer and see if iTunes can do a restore.

If this fails try putting your iPhone device to recovery mode by doing the following steps:

  1. Plug your USB cable into your computer.
  2. Turn your iPhone off by holding the power button down until you see “slide to power off”. Do as instructed.
  3. Now press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to your iPhone. After iPhone is connected it should power on the device.
  4. Continue holding the Home button, you will see the Apple logo appear and then finally a “Connect to iTunes” will be displayed, now is the time to release the Home button. You will then see the following image:

Iphone will not turn off

it sounds like your iphone may either have a bad battery or your motherboard could have gone bad.
Try restoring it with whatever software you have on it and see if it helps.
Here is how to get it in DFU or recovery mode.
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} Iphone and itouch dfu mode

Plug the usb cable into the Ipod and NOT into the computer.
Hold the Home Button down for 5 second (do not release it)
Then Press and hold the Power Button for approx 10 secs (count them out)
Your iPod will reboot.
Release the power button and continue holding the Home button for an additional 27secs.
You may see the screen go blank or not.
Plug the USB end into the computer with itunes open.
Your ipod will mount in recovery mode.
Restore it and Your all set.

Wierd connection wire and itunes picture on screen

Try a hard reset:

  1. Press the home button (the big circle below the screen) and the sleep wake button (the button on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.
  2. Hold both buttons simultaneously for a few seconds, Ignore the "Slide to power off" and keep holding
  3. The iPhone should now shutdown automatically - (fade to black)
  4. Turn the iPhone back on by hitting the sleep/wake button.
  5. You should now see the Apple logo, your iPhone is restarting and thus booting up.

Then plug in your phone to a computer with the latest version of iTunes. Do a full restore to the latest firmware.
