Amp power light is on, but sub not making sound ?

If you have power, and the amp has previously worked.
Check your audio input and make sure you do not have any filters on like a sub woofer crossover, that you do not want.

If that still doesn't work try hooking up a different speaker for testing purposes.

I hope this helps

Speakers on cinema surround sound working on test only

More than likely the optical connection is defaulting to another source. The optical may have been intentionally assigned to another source and either needs to be reassigned or try switching the inputs on the unit until you hear sound...

No I cant get my sub woffer to work woofer. There is power to the unit .I am trying to connest it to a sound bar which has a sub out.

If there is power to the woofer then a signal input must power the woofer to work. So feed a test signal or a audio siignal from a DVD and if there is no output then the AMPLIFIER section had faults.
Unless the sealed unit is opened it cannot be tested to confirm if the output , the input to the AMP or the power supply has failed.
Check if there is power to the output section to confirm.

Controler and sub woofer no power

This previous diagnostic, isn't good, if you test and no continuity between the positive and negative terminals generally means a blown sub.

You won't always get scratching or distortion from a blown sub. Sometimes the voice coil just overheats and burns out like a fuse. In this case there will be no sound at all from the sub, because no power can flow through the voice coil. A continuity test between the positive and negative terminals will show no connection.

Hope this helps.

LG TV RT29FC85VW 29" woofer not working

Check the Woofer for continuity and also with an external amplifier.
if there is no issues then the sub-woofer power amp IC can be faulty.
Check the main voltage to the IC, if not present the power section must be traced for a line break, fusible link.
If there is power , then test for input signal to the IC. If so the IC can be the supect.

Non powered sub woofer

if you have a in and out on the sub woofer feed one of your speakers in and out of it. I can't believe your rca rec. only has one input and no outs.... if it has built in speakers your out of luck.. unless you want to hardwire it to the sys. by going inside the unit. leave that up to a pro. please

One speaker wont work

if u have experience with the soldering of the terminals then you can open the speaker casing of the sub woofer and then solder the right speaker input wire.

dont do this if you have no previous experience and DISCONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY before doing any work inside.
