I have 3 elect fireplaces and 4 of 6 switches have gone bad. These switches suck.

verify the breaker is on (reset) then power up and verify voltage with a meter, there are safty devices that will keep the unit from energizing other than the switch

We have had this same problem with our heater. But I went online to find out where I could purchase replacement parts. The company that sold the fireplace went out of business. I also went on-line to try and fine a universal replacement part. So far no help to be found.

If you can't find the fuse how do you know it needs to be replaced?
The fuse will probably be located at the beginning of the circuit, so somewhere near the plug.
