Accourding to other users that own the 510CMT, once the AGP card has been installed it automatically disables the onboard graphics card. http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/questionanswer.do?prodSeriesId=316510&prodTypeId=12454&threadId=1050434&admit=109447627+1213753294488+28353475

From reading post from the link above, the EVO can run only a 4x 1.5v AGP video card and it's picky about this. So if you have an AGP card & it runs both 8x & 4x speed chances it wil not function in the EVO.
Here is a list of AGP 1.5v 4x cards that should function in the EVO:

Good Luck!

Im trying to install agp...how do i disable the on board vga

Hi there.
Remember that if you are swapping from on-board graphics to a card you have to go into the BIOS and tell the machine that the primary graphics adapter is AGP/PCI Express.
Plug the VGA cable into the on-board graphics port, start the computer and enter the BIOS, tell the computer to use the AGP/PCI card as primary, press F10, save the changes and exit the bios.
The computer will try and restart so let it boot to post and turn it off, then put in your card and try to boot again.
Please post back if you need more help or advice.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

HOW TO DISABLE MY ONBOARD GRAPHIC CARD??

For user BIOS21 & julio1963,
How to enable you're (Add-in AGP video card) & disable the onboard, integrated S3 graphics UniChrome 2D/3D PCI graphics card.
Enter you're bios. Open you're user manual to page 3-13. Integrated Peripherals. Go to, Init display first. Set to AGP.
(Not to PCI). That is all you need to change. The MSI bios will than see you're add in AGP card & automatically disable the PCI S3 graphics, (Onboard) card.

Enjoy!
If I can help you further, feel free to post here.
Please, each user's vote this issue as a fix, if this helped you to get you're bios to see you're new AGP graphics cards.

Evo D51c Video

You need to power off the PC, install the new video card, turn on the PC and go into the BIOS and disable the onboard VGA, and set the BIOS to use the new card. i.e AGP slot.

System doesn't see AGP card

Hello flaxx

I believe you'll need to find a way to disable your integrated (onboard) video in the BIOS. I know there isn't a direct way to do it but, please, see the next link. The user there found a way.

HERE is the way another user accomplished this task. (disabling onboard video). It concerns a different Asus motherboard but, I checked your motherboard manual, those same features are available.

HERE is the AsusTek forum for your motherboard. You can search and post here. There will be other users of that same board there that I'm sure will be able to help you.

HERE is your motherboard manual. However, I didn't see anything that particularly addressed disabling the onboard video.

Please, post back here w/ your results, questions, and any comments, etc.

Thank you

Need help

You need to enter your motherboards bios. As the system starts up press the Delete key every two seconds. Hopefully you'll have video doing this. If you do not have video display. You'll have to remove the new video card for a short while. Again enter your bios. Still have your manual? If not click the link & download it here. http://www.foxconnchannel.com/EN-US/support/downloads.aspx?ProductModel=865G7MC-ES&TypeID=en-gb0000001
Enter Advanced Chipset Features
Goto pg. 33
On-Chip VGA (Default: Enabled). Disable this.
Init Display First (Default: Onboard/AGP) Change to AGP/Onboard. The AGP is to load first before the onboard.
Save & shut down the system. Clean out the AGP slot. There can be a dust build up from not using it. Canned air works well.
Leave the side case off untill your sure the 7600 is running correctly.
Get to know your board alittle. Read the manual a wee bit.
Good Luck! Enjoy!

Adding AGP Graphic Card on Compaq Evo D310M 845G P4

Was it onboard graphics you had before? If so there is a setting in the bios that you need to change to get it to run from the agp slot.

Hp compaq dc5000 small form factor

Hi, uninstalling the onboard video will only be reinstalled by Windows next time you boot up. Disabling it in the Device Manager might and mght not do the trick if your mb is set on using the onboard. You might want to try and disable the onboard video in the CMOS/BIOS set-up. In some instances, you are asked in the BIOS what video will be used such as onboard, AGP or PCI or a selection of something like that. Also you can try and not allocating any memory to the onboard video. Hope this be of some help. Pls post again how things turn up. Good luck.
