I had a similar problem, but I could use a cordless drill to turn the cable. If the cable won't turn, you might try a new cable, since it might be broken in the middle. I had a bad wire in the tailgate, had to splice a new one, couldn't get at the wiring behind the glass. Have you checked the switch on the dash? I am having a problem with that, too. 26 years old, it doesn't spring back so well.

Recheck your wiring, sounds like wiring ins't right to me....Maybe a cut or pinched wire some where....There is a chance the window motors are bad also...I hope you find the problem, my 96 would not roll back up after going down turned out to be the motor on drivers side was bad...Good Luck....

My front pasenger window rol ldown by it self and wont rool up again

Most likely the contacts at the window switch are dirty and the humidity caused an intermittent short. If it happens again try removing the switch and cleaning it.

Window won't rool up

If it is electric then you may have to replace the window motor, if it is a hand crank window then just take off the door panel and put the belt that goes from the crank to the chases of the window back on track, someone probably kept rolling it after it was already down

My drivers side window wont roll down. Are there any fuses or small things i need to check? Dont want to order a new window motor if i dont have to. 2000 chevy blazer 2door

If the other window is working , I would take it apart first and check voltage at the motor plug and check the window regulator, this is the part that holds or attaches the motor. If these are good then I would get the motor. If you don't have power to the motor plug then work your way back to the switch.

2002 buick lesabre windows wont rool down horn wont honk

You might have a bad relay. Locate the relay in the fuse/relay box. Use the diagram that's usually located on the inside or back of the cover. When you find it, look at the part number usually located on top of the relay. Look for another relay in the box that has the same part number. Switch that relay with the one you want to test. If the problem goes away then replace the relay.

The driver side window rolled by itself and now won't go up but the other windows work fine

The drivers window is different than the other windows as it's has an auto down feature. This feature is in the power window master switch. This switch sometimes can be aquired at an auto prts store or they can order it, Of couse the dealer can get you one too but it wight cost more. If you just what to close the window you can find the wires going from the switch to the window motor and put power and ground on them and rool the window back up. This might be easier said then done if your not used to working on things. The power window switch pries up out of the door panel by putting a flat blade tool in the frount edge between the edge of the switch and the pannel pushing towards the swich and then after the catch is depressed prying up and the switch will come out. The master switch has all the pairs of motor wires for all the moters and a power and a ground wire. The power wire is only on with the key in the on position. The wires are yellow and brown and the power can come off of jumper wires from jumper cables or even a jump box. connect the wires positive one one neg on the other one way is up and the other way is down. If it goes the wrong way just reverse the way the wires are connected and it sould go the other way if you have troble with this you can remove the door panel and find the power window motors wire as they'res a plug in the wire and just connect the wires backwards and push the button to go down and it'll go up. Makes replaceing the switch sound easier but I've fixed many of them this way and then just let the wire unplugged so it can'nt be rooled down by accident.

My rear window is stuck down in my 1989 k5 blazer.

If you can hear the motor turning but window is not moving, then the window most likely came off it's track. You will have to remove screws and pry off the door panel and replace window on track

Back window wont go up and down

Sounds like your window regulator has failed, you cant repair those cables. You would have to purchase another. The motor you can keep and try and re use to save money. But make sure the motor is trying to roll the window.

My 84 blazer wont shift

Your 84 wiring harness is for the TCC ( transmission converter control) system.
On the left side of the carburetor (driver side) you should have 2 cables, one for the accelerator and the 2nd for the TV (throttle valve) control. You will need to adjust the cable for correct shift points. Under normal circumstances you will have 7 to 10 mm's extending beyond the cable adjuster block.
Should take care of the issue for you.
Let me know.
