Actually this is a simple procedure for a watchmaker or a person that changes alot of batteries, you don't need to send it anywhere, for the price of postage you can get someone to reset your watch, It is not actually a button but a spot on the circuit board that is shorted with tweezers to the positive side of the battery. This procedure is usually done when you install a new battery.
I have got the same problem & have wasted hours trying to solve this (no it is not just you!).
I contacted Casio & they told me that the watch needs to be returned to them so they can reset it. According to them there is a reset button inside the back of the watch.....
What a nonsense! Why don't they say this in the owners manual & save everyone the time/hassle!
I guess I'll be exploring this option tonight!
