Noise in system

15 Year old Partner Plus system. The system is leaking noise into one of the outgoing lines (MLS-18D) whenever there is an incoming call to the main switchboard (MLS-34D). We have replaced the phone lines to the office but got no improvement. Suspect the problem is either in the 34D or in a module. Suggestions

Probably in the module. Switch to different port on module and see if it clears the problem

Phone static on the partner 18d

Is it on the same line? What about when you call other extensions, is there static?

If it is a line, swap that line and another. If you have static on the same line port, then it is a port problem of the system. If it follows the dialtone, the line from the phone company is the problem.

Lucent Partner 34D phone system with 18D extensions

That doesn't sound good at all. I would first try powering down the system and waiting about 15 seconds or so before powering back up. If the problem remains, the processor was some how damagedand would be best if it was looked at by your vendor.

enter in "#301"
the display should say line assignment and station:
enter in the station you want to program the line on.
