I have a frigidaire affinity dryer that won't heat up. Everything else works as advertised. It will run for about 20 minutes, stop, and sometimes display an AD or ADD display?

The vent pipe is probably plugged up.

Have you checked the lint has been cleaned off filter and water reservoir emptied.?

I understand that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity dryer not heating up. There are some things that you are able to try. First check to make sure that the lint filter, the ducting, and the outside vent, are clear of lint and not constricted in any way. Second, reset your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. Once power has been restored, run any cycle. If you are still noticing that your dryer is not heating, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They should be able to diagnose your dryer and determine why your appliance is not heating. Hope this is helpful.

Hello Scott Joseph Brandt - Since you have already replaced the thermal limiter check your breaker or fuses. Some dryers are run by two separate fuses, one for power and one for heat-ours is. If it is not the power source more than likely the issue lies with your heating coil.

Are you sure you have 240V going to the dryer?

mybe the star button stay stuck and the dryer tinks some one is puching the star button and it will continio to run. try to open the door and it will stop and then clouse the door if the dryer star whitout pushing the star then you now the star switch is stuck. goo lock

Hi, If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. The most common problem with a gas and no heat is the ignitor going bad...
