My Sanyo tv is not working. The power light comes on and then starts blinking red.

I myself had a 55 inch hdtv ready projection tv and the lamp went out in it. It cost me $104.00 plus shipping to replace it. Check out discount replacement parts but remember that if it is a projection tv, it won't last but approximately two years and you will have to do it again.

I have a sony 55"

Hi,
3 times red standby light flashing indicates that lamp cover (first thing that you removed from tv to replace lamp) is not fixed properly on tv, make sure lamp cover is attached correctly with tv to solve this issue.
3 times blinking is not problem of fan or anything else, it is related to lamp cover that engages safety micro switch inside to turn On tv.
Thanks.

Hi,
Lamp in tv is dead and need to be replaced to get tv back in action.
Lamp replacement procedure is easy and would be written in user manual.
Please buy Sony original lamp to get bright picture in tv.
Thanks.

I have a sony 55'' lcd projection tv. When I push the power button no picture comes on & the power button blinks green 2 times then blinks red 2 times & back & forth.

If your tv is around 2-4 yrs or used 6000-8000 hrs, never replaced the lamp before it could be time to replace it.The other most common failure is the board that powers the lamp, which is called the ballast. When its bad it will make a clicking sound or like wanting to turn on.Good luck and God bless your house!

My screen is black but i ges sound then the red

Have you checked that the lamp is working? If the lamp hours are too high, then the television will no longer function until the lamp is replaced and the counter reset.

When you have replaced the lamp, do this process to reset the timer:

1) Press the Menu button
2) Scroll down to the LAMP TIMER RESET option, scroll right to enter
3) Confirm that it is OK to reset the lamp timer by hitting the OK button.
4) The on-screen menu should confirm the lamp was reset correctly.

Very faint picture- no sound

If the red lamp light is blinking the lamp is probably shot. The pricing of the lamp varies from $200 and up plus installation. Or you can buy the lamp and install yourself. See the owners manual on instructions to replace the lamp.
