I have a pentax optio 8.1 megapixel camera. I have a 1gb scandisk. The memory is full. I want to delete some of the pictures. When I go to a picture, I push the trash can button. The response is the trash can followed by All images/sounds. I don't want to delete all the pictures, just the one I am looking at. If I click OK will all the images be deleted or just the one I am looking at? Bottom line, how do I delete one image at a time?
Looking at one of the optio manuals, if you press the trash button twice you get the option to erase all the pictures but if you press the trash button once then you can erase a single image.

Hi Is this the camera memory or the SD memory card.You can opt to transfer some of your pictures to a secondary storage device probably a computer. To delete,just scroll the picture, select on options and then delete. Or just replace the SD card and store the full one.
this model not support it, To do that, you need to connect to pc and transfer it. As long you inserted the SD card, IT will use memory from SD card and not display image, video from built in memory. if you want to delete file in built in memory, you need to remove memory card.
You usually have to take out the SD card, close the door and then delete images in camera in the normal way (press delete button in play mode, when confirmation dialogue appears, press delete button again, select >delete all< and press OK). Most cameras default to the memory card when one is inserted, that's why you have to take it out to delete data from the internal memory. Hope that helps
Hi there. If you have copied the picture to your computer or you don't want the pictures that are on it, just use the camera's menu to format the card, that will delete all the pictures on it and it will be ready for use with the camera again.
Is your memory card locked? It won't let you delete pictures if it is. Check the little switch on the side of the memory card and move it in the opposite direction and then see what happens. Good Luck.
try using another memory card. I would take the memory card back to the shop and ask for another one. I had the same problem. it was the card, not the camera.
Try removing the card and see if it will turn on with just the internal memory--or try different memory card if you have one.
Had a somewhat similar problem with a new 1GB card when I shut camera off while it was still saving an image. Camera would come on, take a picture all by itself and freeze up. After using a couple of other cards it magically worked on the bad card
