If you can tell what cycle it is in, then it will be a lot easier to troubleshoot. I would suggest calling the 800 number in the manual and making Whirlpool pay for the repair. If the dishwasher is only 3 months old, then they will send a tech out to fix the dishwasher free of charge.

Based on your symptom and details there could be something jammed in the chopper assembly or it could be the wash motor bearings causing it to stop the wash cycle and drain. I added some information and instructions in the image below if you would like to check the chopper blade area for any hard objects. You may have to replace the wash pump motor if no objects in the chopper blade. NOTE: Disconnect the dishwasher from the power supply if you're going to have to remove and replace the wash motor.
