Unplugged fridge 9 months and now it doesnt cool at all

it's 20 years old, replace it,don't waste a penny into that machine, most likely you have a problem in the sealed system compressor and freon so don't waste any of your time or money.good luck,if you say the compressor and fans are running and it's not getting cold one of the lines could have rotted out and the freon gas leaked out,you can remove the back inside wall of the freezer and look at the evaporator coil,if it's running fine you should see an even frost pattern covering the coil,if you only see frost where the lines connect to the coil you have a freon leak but i wouldn't even waste my time doing that on this machine just repace it.

Neff fridge/freezer has stopped cooling

pull the unit from the wall, remove the bottom back panel , see if the small fan is working ,if the fan is , there's probally alot of dust back there, unplug the fridg. and vacuum the area real good, use a flash light to make sure you get it all, if the fan is not working and the compressor is running the fan is the problem ,the fan keeps the compressor and coils cool so the freon can cool down so the unit works like it should,if the freon is hot ,the air the fridg.will be blowing will be hot. this should fix your problem, and YES its worth fixing.alittle p.m.saves alot of $$$$$$$$$

LG Fridge LSC26945TT compressor getting to hot and not cooling

if it's not cooling unplug it so you don't damage the compressor, hopefully you just have a bad overload and relay,it's plugged into the side of the compressor, with the machine unplugged remove the bottom back panel, look at the compressor, remove the cover on the side of compressor and remove the start device or ptc assy. call your local parts store and give them the model number and buy a new start device for your machine.if you can hear a clicking sound every once and a while and the compressor is hot change this out first,if it still doesn't start then you have a bad compressor and will be in the market for a new fridge if the compressor is running take everything out of the freezer, remove the back inside wall of the freezer and check the evap coil,if the coil is all iced up you have a defrost problem,if the evap coil doesn't have an even frost pattern covering the whole coil you have a freon leak.if you have a freon leak you'll have to replace the fridge..hope this helps

My Maytag fridge model # MZD 2766GE has stopping cooling both sides fridge and freezer sides. What could be the problem?

. Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start.
Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay. The relay is a small usually black cube shaped electrical part plugged into the compressor or wired to it nearby. It may appear burnt or rattle when shaken if it's bad. The two connections should show continuity with an amp meter. If it's good then it's most likely the compressor causing the problem.
Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

Is the evaporator fan in the freezer running. It blows cold air into the fridge side through a damper in the wall between the freezer and fridge. Make sure the damper is open.

Below the evaporator fan is the evaporator coils. Remove the back cover in the freezer to observe the frost pattern. Light frost everywhere(NORMAL) or a partial pattern of ice(LOW ON FREON) or nothing(LOW FREON OR COMPRESSOR PROBLEM).
If it's iced up really heavy you have an auto defrost problem. Melt the ice with a hairdryer and check the defrost system.
