DEH-1000 I have the same stereo as you and I too did not get a manual with it. How did you figure out how to set the clock? I am struggling with it. Can you help?
I found it on here how to set the stereo clock.try checkin other stereos out on how they did ...cant remeber but i know it on hre .i cant remember how but i c and get back to u

1. Power the unit off (See instruction manual page 11, "Power ON/OFF") - Crucial missing instruction.
2. Use MULTI-CONTROL to select CLOCK SET.
3. Press MULTI_CONTROL to display the setting mode.
4. Press MULTI-CONTROL to select the segment of the clock display you wish to set.
5. Turn MULTI-CONTROL to put a clock right
Its not the select button, you must have the power off and hold the function button down for about 5 seconds, display will change and you will be able to navigate your way to the clock from there. Hope this helps.
Pioneer stereos clock setting
1)turn car iginition "ON"
2)turn stereo ON and then OFF.
3)Press SRC or Joystick until blinking clock appears
4)Set clock by pressing rt,left &top,bottom keys around volume knob (joystick).

turn your unit off by pressing the SRC button. then press the clock button (clock appears). press the audio (or function button) and then the hour blinks. press up or down to change setting and left or right to switch from hours to minutes. press audio button. wallah!
