Want to know how to lighten up the screen. need an instruction manual

Jody, the arm the needle is on, usually adjustable with a dial on the end that can lighten, or put more weight on needle to help it track better on records. Other then that, the belts normally are changed to address slow speed issues. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

not sure what the red lightening is, but you will need to scan to get the OBD II trouble codes.

Lighten the screen by holding down the green diamond key and then holding down the - key. If you go too far, use the + key instead of the - to darken the screen.

To adjust the screen contrast (to lighten screen or to darken it)

1. Press the [2nd] key and RELEASE it.
2. Press and HOLD the UP Arrow to darken screen, or
3. Press and HOLD the DOWN Arrow to lighten it.

Keep pressing the UP or Down arrows (whichever you need to press) until the screen contrast is adequate.

In your case, the screen is too dark, so you must press the DOWN arrow to lighten it.

Most likely the screen contrast is too high. Try to lighten screen
Press [2nd] key and release it
Press and Hold [DownArrow] until screen lightens to your liking.

As you keep pressing DownArrow, the top right corner shows a number that decreases as the screen lightens.

In reading the manual for the PE,a nd remembering how the old version worked, it appears I'm stuck-- I can lighten text but not objects. Alas. "Lightened" is a function I used all the time and I will miss it. This is the sad nature of upgrades. Technology giveth and technology taketh away. For shame, Nova Development. Who knows, I may trash the new deluxe and go back to my old system.
