I'm use S3 IS taking videos, most o.k, only 1 video had problem (unidentify image) message.

I check online ,some say the SD card mfg. may be an issue not compatible to Canon Camera.

    I'm use ULTRA (HI-SPEED) 2GB SD.

I have the same problem as well, and I've tried all these different settings, and it still is unidentified! It's annoying because I have about 20 videos from my recent trip that are all unidentified that I would like to get back!
Has anybody tried going to Bestbuy (where I got my camera)(or wherever you all got yours) and asking them about it? I haven't done that yet, but probably should try it...

You think you can try photo recovery software to see if you can rescue the lost photos or movies, here are some you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music.

Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Be careful: Before your pictures and videos are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the memory card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

I have a problem with images on a memory card that don't download on to Lightroom, or are not visible after the import has ended. see more detail below. please help.

Instead of downloading the pictures using Lightroom, make a file on your desktop. Copy and paste all of your photos from the memory card into the folder. Open the folder and change your computer's Finder (Mac) or Explorer (PC) to the thumbnail viewing mode. If all of the files show up there, try opening them from there. If not, let me know and we will proceed to step 2.

Find photo identification eg jpg number for each individual photo?

After downloading your images into your pictures folder, right click on the thumbnail copy of each picture, navigate to "properties" at the bottom of the dialogue box which appears when you click, and click on details in the next dialogue box and navigate down to the details you need.

Unidentified image, image too large

Try formatting the memory card (or changing it). You probably have some bad sectors.

If this does not help, take the camera to a Canon dealer, it's probably a software problem

No picture on thumbnail

I have had the same issue. There is some setting up on top that addresses this but I do not have the patience to look for it.

Hi, I have brought the Samsung L700 but I am having problems viewing my photos on my PC. I have followed the insructions and have downloaded them via my USB lead. However, the pictures are showing up as...

Do you have a photo program installed? You should be able to see you photos just by clicking on the drive that the camera is connected to. You can change what you see under the view menu in the toolbar. You did install the camera software, correct?

Unidentified images

I have the same problem with my Canon Powershot SX110IS. images dissapear with the notation "unidentified image". I brought my camera in to a local camera shop, and they were able to save the lost images. They told me I had an inexpensive, low quality memory card that is causing this problem. I upgraded to a high quality one and haven't had the problem since.

Corrupted Pictures?

i suggest you always format the card in your camera every time you release it and use in your pc. card may get infected with virus and may affect the performance. never format card in pc! Better save pictures in hdd or cd than in mem cards.

Cannot View Uploaded File

try opening the photos with any other viewing software you have - paint, windows picture and fax viewer to name but 2. If you get the same results then the files are probably corrupt, and the probability is that your memory card could be causing the problem, try another card and see if pictures you take can be viewed. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the camera and the olympus software, it just might help. If this doesn't work please post again and we could give you some info on software for recovering corrupt and deleted files. Hope this helps :)
