Now on to a solution. You can try to do a factory reset. You don't need to log into the phone in order to do one. However, this WILL erase everything on your phone, and revert it back to when it was originally purchased. Not sure if the unlock will remain.

To do a factory reset:
1) Turn off your device
2) press the power button and the volume up button simultaneously until it takes you to a new menu.
3)Use the volume keys to navigate, and the power button to select (Exact directions are provided on the screen)
4) Look for an option to "Wipe/Factory reset" (Note: It might be located in a sub menu, and not actually on the first screen.)
5) Select that option and press the designated "OK" button. (usually the power button).
6) Phone will reboot and you should be able to get back in.

+Hi, I know how frustrating this issue can be. I finally shut every thing down...the android, the wifi connection and the modem. When I turned the android back on, and of course, the modem had reset, so I then reentered the wifi settings on the android. I'ts been working ever since. Good luck.

1. With the Samsung Galaxy TAB turned off, press and hold the VOLUME Down button, and then briefly press the POWER button.

Note: If you see "Downloading" on the screen with an Android shoveling you pressed the wrong Volume key. Remove and reinsert the battery and try again.

Wi-fi has been known to eat up the battery life on ALL devices it's on.
That's just the way it functions.
If you really want to save battery on your phone, disable wireless, bluetooth and 4G connections you may have, dim the screen to it's lowest setting and change the display timeout to a very low time.

Wi-Fi Question: (Phone known as) Samsung Star GT-S5233, Samsung Tocco Lite, Samsung Player One, Samsung S5233, and Samsung Avila.

Unfortunately, your phone wasn't manufactured with WLAN (Wi-Fi). As such, you cannot use a local wireless network to access the Internet with your phone. And, Wi-Fi cannot be added as an application.

If you mean to connect your Archos to your Android device through Wi-Fi, than, yes, you can! But, only if your android device supports the tethering feature. For example if you have an Android 2.2 (Froyo) device than you go to Settings->>Wireless & networks->>Tethering & portable hotspot and tap "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot". From the Archos, go to the the Wi-Fi settings and connect to the network you've just created. If you do not have the tethering option available, you should find out if your carrier or device manufacturer has an update for the device. Hope it helps!
