My GE cordless phone model no.28112EE3-A is set on " Do not Disturb" so it will not ring when someone calls. I do not know how to set it back to ring. Thank you, Carla

The Do Not Disturb setting ensures that the phone will not disturb you by ringing when a call comes in. If you want the phone to ring, then turn the DND off. Since you declined to specify the model of your Uniden cordless phone I'm afraid I can't tell you how to do that. I can only suggest that you select the model of your phone from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.
For GE 6.0:There is a button on the base lower right corner (NOT the phone), you need to press it once again to turn off Do Not Disturb
For GE 5.8 GHz:1. Pick up the phone handset and dial *98. 2. Press 2 to disable Do Not Disturb. 3. Once you hear the confirmation that Do Not Disturb has been disabled, you may hang up the phone handset. Hope this helps!
On the main bas of my cordless GE phone I found a button that says do not disturb and if it is accidently pushed on, it lights up and all hand sets says "Do not disturb" and will not ring. Just push the button and it goes off and the phones ring again.l hope this is what you needed. I just found this out myself.
Your ringer has been switched off..to solve this press the menu button(mute in most of the sets)and press it until you see the option ringer press + to change it to off and then press menu again until you see the main screen...Thats all.. Let me know if it worked..
