Hi..gud day!! hi, i have some problems with my nokia 6630 :icon13: vodafone :icon13: , 1. i can't play an music file(all format except midi), when a try to play music there is an error message "unprotected file, unable to play"! 2.i can't use it with another gsm card :mad: 3.i can't install some software at my phone how to solve that problems? pls help me

If you connect to PC using USB interface, then use a commercial midi player - e.g Melody Assistant or Harmony assistant to play MIDI files to it.

Or else download "SMF convertor" to convert midi files and download compatible file to keyboard.

First Solution:
Try bluetooth, ask your friend(s) to send you song via bluetooth then save it to your phone memory or memory card, if it is working meaning there is no problem with your cellphone. It's in the audio format!
Second Solution:
Backup all of your songs then copy one(1) song and convert it using audio and video converter into mp3 format. Though your songs in your mp3 player are already an mp3 format. Some cellphone can not read it as mp3, after converting copy the song that you converted as mp3 format into your memory card but before that format your memory card first. Good day

Transfer the data in MIDI format. The BUP format is a proprietary format to the keyboard and can ONLY be played by the keyboard. Either dump the data as MIDI format or using a MIDI interface send it to the PC or lastly, capture the audio using an audio interface on the PC.

You need to understand what the program is doing.
An MP3 file is a recorded music performance like a phonograph record. A MIDI file is a set of instructions for performing music, like sheet music. The converter program is an attempt to turn the record into sheet music. There is no perfect way to do that. You should have gotten something out of the program, though. It sounds more like a computer problem. Try a very simple sound file, convert it to MIDI, and see if you can get something out. If your keyboard can't read it, try putting any known good MIDI file on the card and read that. Possibly your keyboard will only read certain formats or sizes or speeds of cards. See if the manual tells you anything. It might read FAT16 regular speed cards under 1 GB, for instance, and balk at a SDHC 16 GB NTFS formatted card. So, do some detective work.

Insert your memory in your phone and start phone and open memory
then off your mobile and open your memory card for your phone and plug in memory your Computer and look folder private open this folder>Vodafone>Sound and ringtone and past all song this folder

The BUP is an archiving format proprietary to the Yamaha apparently containg styles as well as note data and conversion is really not easy.

If you can get the instrument itself to spill out MIDI and use a MIDI interface and software to capture it on the PC is the best plan.

Once it is in SMF format you can play it on the PC.

You can play any type File in Nokia 6600.But One thing you should be noted that

• It can Play WAV file With default player
• It can Play AMR file And some other simple format usually not needed

Actually you needed to play MP3 Files in your Mobile...For Playing MP3 file.....YOU CAN PLAY MP3........

• You should have MP3 player /any other Playing Software in your Mobile
• Or You Should have mp3codec in your MObile

most probably your phone software is corrupted..

did you recently update your phone software..else

better take it to service center and update your phone software..
if you are under warranty they will do it free of cost
