Hi i have some problem to my laptop battery it wont charging, but laptop charger is working fine, my laptop brand is compaq presario C700. i tried to charge my laptop in 2 hours after that i tried to turn it on, but it wont let me on. but when i plug in the charger its work and i saw the battery is only 5% and it telling me its not charging. but my laptop charger is plug in, so what do i need to do?

Did ur laptop works or turn on when u plug the adaptor charger?
If ur laptop turns on when the charger is pluged in, u got problem with ur DYiNG BATTERY!
Better buy a brand new battery!

If you can reach inside the computer and rub the battery contacts gently to remove the corrosion ,which is invisible , this will help greatly. Sometimes even a new battery will suffer the same. Clean the battery contacts also turn off the laptop and charge it fully do this on a regular basis. Say once every 2 months
If any one of your friend have same model notebook then try with his charger if it is not working then try changing the the battery if the charger is working fine then this the time for you to change the battery.
It could be the battery... they tend to wear out over time. If you run the laptop with the charger plugged in, it works fine, right? It just won't hold the charge?
U may have a dead board. They average $285 plus labor. A shop should be able to test it on a volt meter see if the power grid is burnt for around $35. then u will know what ur in for. If its a bad board just replace the laptop I wouldnt repair that problem on an older laptop.
hi.. unfortunately i've seen many cases like this and it looks as if from what you are describing that your laptop is fried if there is no boot up at all.. how old is you laptop and what brand is it?
